I subscribe to Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Red. I don't know why. I would drop Spotify, but it is far more responsive than Apple Music. I would drop Apple Music, and I have, but it kind of leaves a hole in iTunes. Or does it? I don't know. I don't really use it. Now I have subscribed to YouTube Red, and ad-free videos feel so good, but I'm loathe to use YouTube Music or Google Music because Google pushes my privacy boundaries in ways that feel creepy and invasive. Or am I wrong about that? I do love these ad-free videos and being able to save them offline. I'm spending far more on music than I did before subscription. Advice please? Has YouTube Red and its music offerings persuaded you to drop Apple Music or Spotify?
[doublepost=1467242727][/doublepost]On another note. Okay, I spend my $X on my monthly Apple Music subscription and I listen to maybe one or two songs. Does the whole "artist share" of my subscription go to those one or two artists? It probably doesn't, but it would be cool if it did.

To my knowledge Google and Spotify both don't try to get exclusives. Show me an example of either one of them doing so....
"To my knowledge", that's the qualifier right there. You really don't know their inner workings, just like I can't prove definitively that they would try to get exclusives if they could. With highly competitive business pressures, and admittedly from a speculative point of view, the latter just makes a lot more sense.

I asked for your scientific evidence to prove audio quality , as you stated you knew thier was no differnce, and a man of science....

It repeats itself.

Pretending to be smart and scientific , while having no evidence or understaffed , as per the INS discussion, absurd to suggest an iPhone can be used an an INS. Please google what an INS is, to understand.

Feel free to have an opinion, but don't patronise people as being not intelligent enough to deserve your replies. Cause it's not true. Don't behind science when you don't understand it.....

Good day to you also. I believe we are done
Your reply reminds me some Tech scammers claiming they are "Microsoft certificate engineer" while only know using tree command and event viewer to fool people your computer has a lot of problems, even on a newly installed OS.

Everybody "hears the difference" if they know what they are listening to. Assuming you prepared the source material correctly and did precise level-matching, it was very likely just your brain tricking you to hear what you were expecting. People need to realize that the human hearing system is not a microphone; what you hear is heavily preprocessed by the brain.
My gear is pretty good. Scientific listening tests are usually done on studio-grade equipment.
Yes, but unless you just want to confirm your existing beliefs, you need to eliminate expectation bias.
Indeed. Not the right thread for this.

Don't get me wrong, there are elements of high end audio that are a joke and a senseless money pit, like after markert USB cables etc. I've had a fair amount of experiece listening to various headphones , and from my experiece I've noticed quite a difference hardware makes. Choosing a combination of dac, amp and headphone will give you a different sound from another combination.......even when the source is the same. Some headphones sound awful with certain music.... Sorry hardware makes a big difference. A DAC makes a huge difference alone....

Anyway it's personal preference.

Definitely loving the family pricing plan from Apple Music but a lot still missing. When are we getting a way of sharing or following other peoples playlists, definitely miss that from Spotify? To many times friends come over hear my playlist or I hear theres and they ask to follow but I have to give the big disappointing you can't I use Apple Music. Come on Apple!
