Looks like I current spend $34.96 a month (Music Family, Arcade, TV+, and 2TB) so after discounts maybe I will end up getting News+ for free. I did a couple of months of it to try it out and honestly it wasn't worth anything to me.

I had an iTunes Match subscription before I had an Apple Music subscription. I am not sure why you mention charity, I am not asking Apple to give me something for free. I am saying as iTunes Match is incorporated into Apple Music, I should have been made aware of this when I started my subscription to Apple Music.
I don’t recall saying match was included in the music subscription, do you know for certain that is the case?

Or as we’ll call it in our house, “Apple None.” 😂

Joking aside, I’m glad they’re offering this. Not for us, but I hope it inspires other competing services to team up to offer similar discounts.

"There is wording that indicates customers who upgrade to Apple One will not be double charged for ‌Apple Music‌, and that the Apple One subscription will be able to be managed on ‌iPhone‌, ‌iPad‌, ‌Apple TV‌, and Mac."

I guess you have to actually state "no one will be double charged" because as silly as people would want to be, if not said, users will ask anyway.

I used to be an Apple Music fan, but Spotify just kept one-upping them in many ways (discovery, shared playlists, works well outside of Apple ecosystem) where I had to leave Apple Music. I'm not sure why anyone would pay for Apple News+, but perhaps there are enough News junkies out there that find it worth it. And in my household, there is at least one new Apple iPad, iPhone, Apple TV or Mac purchased every 12 months, so Apple TV+ will be consistently free.

I guess what I'm getting at is, unless Apple One is priced at 9.99 or lower, it's really not going to be a value proposition to most. I still wouldn't leave Spotify for Apple Music even if it meant Apple News+ for the same price.
I know Apple made ATV+ free for a year with the purchase of an iPad, iPhone or Mac but was that just for the first year ATV+ was available or does that offer apply to any future purchase of one of those products? I enjoyed several shows on ATV+ but I probably would not pay for it when my free year expires until they launch the new seasons of The Morning Show, See, and Servant. I really like Apple Music but didn't care that much for Apple News and I dropped it after paying for it for a couple of months.

No, it’s a one time thing per  ID. That’s why they are gonna be pushing these bundles along with the tv+/CBS All Access/Showtime bundle.

Good question and to be honest I maybe assumed wrong!

Is that really so? To be honest, I missed that then. Still not sure I would pay for Apple TV+. If anything, may subscribe for one winter month to binge watch shows that have come out in the last year, but wouldn't ever keep a constant subscription year round. There just isn't enough content to warrant it.

actually, now I’m not really sure. The wording on apples tv page doesn’t say once per customer per year so I’m not 100% sure now if we’ll get it again on the next purchase.

I guess we'll all find out pretty soon. If anything I may just wait until there is a good batch of shows on ATV+, and just repurchase for one month to binge of them. I don't see the value in paying $60 year round for the service.
