I subscribed to both without realising too. However, I realised that my library was completely mucked up after I stopped subscribing to Apple Music (even though I resubscribed to iTunes Match before ending my music subscription). My library was such a mess, with tracks I owned marked as DRM, missing tracks and numerous errors, that I had to start over from backups. While I might be tempted by a combined subscription at some point, I would rather keep my personal library and my subscribed music service separate to avoid library issues.

Regarding the rumoured bundled collections, I think it's a bit strange to assume someone that everyone that wants News+ would want Arcade too.
I read somewhere online on how to prevent this from happening if you unsubscribe. Can't remember what it was tho.

I need to re-examine my Apple services. I'm still using iTunes Match at $24.99/year which seems ridiculous as I have a 256 GB iPhone 11 Pro and rarely need to download music on the go especially with an Apple Music Subscription.
- Apple Music Subscription and iTunes Match: I'm considering cancelling iTunes Match as I rarely download music that isn't already on my mobile devices and the two services seem to overlap each other. Am I correct in that assertation?

You don't need to have iTunes Match AND Apple Music. Apple Music has the benefits of iTunes Match included. I know that I relied on a couple of macrumors threads to verify this, but a google search found the same answer I had found here before:

I paid for both for 2 years before realizing this. I canceled iTunes Match half a year ago, and nothing changed, besides an extra $25/year in my pocket.

The only thing to consider is that Apple Music isn't a backup service, so you may want to consider backing up any songs you uploaded to iTunes match that aren't part of Apple Music. But in my opinion, Apple Music does a bad job of letting you know what's matched and what's not, so I didn't bother.

Take my experience as a success story of canceling iTunes Match, but do take other's experiences into consideration also. Seems that it isn't necessarily the most clear thing by Apple/

I forget Apple news and tv + even exists. iTunes Ping was more interesting than both of those combined.

Think he mistook the Family Plan for $14.99 versus the Individual Plan for $9.99.

I'm right there with you and finding a lot of people are in the same market content.

Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud Storage seem to the the most used/popular with Apple TV+ being the "meh" (I could see people keeping it if the bundle is worth it).

Nope. I left out individual plans. I don’t think that is the target demographic for this promo. Apple is saying, for $45, you can get all of our services and share them with your entire family; that’s just as much as it would cost if you got them all separate and didn’t share! I’m serious, this isn’t some amazing promotion that everyone is making it out to be. At best, individual will be $40, family $45.

Translating into a table:

Your table was broken when viewed in front page, here's a mouthful one from me, plus extra tier, Set-App like subscription :

If you look at the plans on Apple web site it states this :"60 million songs, plus your existing music library". I can see where this might be missed that it includes iTunes Match. But I did see it said elsewhere so that's why I knew it.

You’re right, but I still don’t think it’s clear. There’s a lot of scrolling to get there, not mentioned at all apart from that one place and iTunes Match isn’t mentioned at all. It’s only when you go to a support page does it tell you clearly. Who knows how many other people are paying for both services?

Hmmm. Interesting and I like the idea, but I am not the target audience on this one.

- Apple Music is including in my Verizon plan.
- News I would use if “free” or as part of a bundle.
- Apple Arcade would be the same as News for me.
- TV+ I’ve had for free since I got my 11 Pro and iPad Pro - haven’t opened it yet.

If the pricing for News, TV Arcade and maybe additional iCloud storage were competitive, I might take a look but as much as I’m glad to see a bundle come along, I don’t think it will be for me.

Apple, let’s just make it $75 a month and include everything
- latest iPhone on Apple iUP
- AppleCare+
- 1TB iCloud Storage
- Apple Music
- Apple Arcade
- Apple News+
- Apple TV+
And give me 3% on my Apple Card lol.

Apple Music is definitely worth $10 a month for me, but I’m not sure what value I’d put on any of the other Apple services. Actually, I tried a subscription for Apple Arcade. I don’t usually play games on my phone, but there was one I wanted to try. The problem is that, when I stopped playing it regularly, Apple Arcade lost its value to me. So Apple Arcade has a value of $0 a month for me (or maybe $1 or $2 as part of a bundle).

I haven’t tried Apple TV+ yet. I suspect it may have some value for me, but probably not $5 a month (at least until it gets some more back catalogue shows), so I actually am interested in a bundle with it. $12 a month, and I’d probably upgrade to a bundle, at least for a few months (one of the great thing about Apple subscriptions is being able to change your subscription details through the App Store really quickly). $13 a month, I’m not sure. I’d probably do a $15 a month bundle that did Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade.

Apple News+, I don’t use the Apple News app because I found it wasn’t all that flexible in adding the sites/types of articles I’m actually interested in and often sourced articles from places I didn’t like. Plus, I didn’t like how it would suggest news articles in the search interface/today view. I just use an RSS reader instead. However, the back catalogue of magazines is a tempting proposition, though I always feel guilty when I have a magazine subscription but don’t read them. It’s not even necessarily a money thing, I feel guilty when stuff accumulates in my Pocket reading list or my RSS reader! Anyway, Apple News+ definitely isn’t worth the same price as Apple Music to me! $3-$5 a month, and I’d consider it.

I’d actually be slightly tempted by an Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News+ bundle, assuming it were only $17 a month. I feel like Apple’s contracts with music companies (Apple Music), game devs (Apple Arcade), and news companies (Apple News+) probably have the least room for negotiating bundle prices, so I’d expect Apple TV+ to have the most room for a price reduction via bundle. Actually, the bundle prices might not be much of a discount just on account of the third party content fees Apple has to deal with for most of these services.

I pay for 50GB of iCloud storage for $1 a month. That’s all the extra cloud storage I need since my music, videos, apps, etc., don’t count against that storage. I use it for iCloud backups, iCloud Mail, photos, documents. I use more than 5GB, but less than 10, and I won’t likely need to upgrade more than 50GB for years. I could see Apple including iCloud storage as part of these bundles. I’d rather see something like Apple Music, Apple TV+, 50GB or 100GB iCloud storage for $15 (I’d probably consider that). I’d very much prefer Apple include some quantity of iCloud storage (even just 50GB) as part of the lower tier bundles instead of limiting it to higher tier bundles.

I subscribe to all 4, TV+, News+, Music, Arcade. How much cheaper will the bundle be? $10/month

When will News+ magazines fill the TV screen when I mirror my iPhone to my TV?

Arcade needs more games for the 18+ crowd. The games I have play pretty good when I mirror my iPhone to my TV. Perhaps when a game mirrors through Apple TV the screen on the iPhone could change to large controls.

Give me a bundle with Music (which I currently pay for) and News+ (which I cancelled.)

Keep improving News+ to convince me it's not just waiting to be abandoned.

If you make my buy TV+ and Arcade (both of which I have no interest in or time for) with it then I'll stay with Music only.

And in my household, there is at least one new Apple iPad, iPhone, Apple TV or Mac purchased every 12 months, so Apple TV+ will be consistently free.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but this this was a first year kind of thing. I’ve heard nothing about this being a consistent freebie.

I agree. Not very clear at all.

Apple is actually planning for several Apple One bundle tiers. A basic package is expected to offer ‌Apple Music‌ and ‌Apple TV‌+, while a second tier will also include Apple Arcade. A third bundle tier will include all of the aforementioned services along with Apple News+.

There will also be a higher-end tier that includes ‌Apple Music‌, ‌Apple TV‌+, ‌Apple Arcade‌, ‌Apple News‌+, and iCloud storage.
I knew about Apple One but I didn't know about the tiers. As I have seen users mention before, it would be cool if you got to customise the bundle.

this is stressing me out in the same way that viewing the Sculley-era lineup of Macs does. Apple, for your own sake and for the sake of consumers, please do not make this overly complicated. (I’m sure Tim is reading my comment right now taking notes! ;))

P.S.—stop tryna shove Apple News down everyone’s throat. forcing it into every A1 bundle will do absolutely nothing for its popularity.

Is that really so? To be honest, I missed that then. Still not sure I would pay for Apple TV+. If anything, may subscribe for one winter month to binge watch shows that have come out in the last year, but wouldn't ever keep a constant subscription year round. There just isn't enough content to warrant it.
