This would be great if Apple Music was on Apple TV so we can watch on TV.
What they have renamed the Apple music festival which was previously the iTunes festival has always been streamed on Apple TV. No reason to believe this will change.

Not sure what planet you're living on. Florence Welch is amazing live.

Planet Earth where bum notes are amazing, it seems. This is one of her better efforts. You can still recognise the tune and it is not all shouting, which is her stock in trade.

Because they are a huge draw and have a monster fan base. Hey, it ain't my kind of music but unless you've been on a different planet recently, they are pretty big right now. Just saying.

It's Pharrell Williams that doesn't make sense. Hasn't he milked his one hit wonder status enough? My goodness. Remember when you had to make a lot of good songs over a long time to be relevant? Those days are gone. One pop song and somehow you're enshrined as a super star. Bleh.
I think Pharrell may be another case of "it ain't my kind of music" as it relates to you. One hit wonder? The man has been relevant behind and in front of the mike for over 2 decades. Your lack of knowledge about his relevancy doesn't negate it.;) I agree about 1 Direction though. Hugh draw and monster fan base. That assessment applies, with varying degrees of hugeness and monsterness, to other artists (that you and I may not know or like) as well.

Apart from one or two performances, the majority of her performances are spot on. That version of Shake It Out was very close to the album, except where she varied the vocals a bit. Her live performances often outdo the studio versions as here:

This sounds like a case of you not liking her voice more than anything.

Am I the only one who can never get these things to work? I've tried the last 3 or 4 years, and have never been able to get one of these live streams to work and it sucks that they only keep the OnDemand stream for a day or so - when they bother to even have them.
Not sure how you trying to stream this but have not experienced this and have always been able to get access to all the streams for at least 30 days.

People keep complaining that the concert is mainstream. 90% of pop is not my cup of tea, but this is a worldwide broadcasted free concert and they have to appeal to as many people as possible to make it worth doing. I would love to see some of the metal bands I listen to on this, but that wouldn't make any sense. Maybe if this thing starts getting insane viewership, they will start hosting more of them and begin to cater to less famous acts.

Apple today announced its 2015 Apple Music Festival lineup for next month, a free concert series that will bring Pharrell, One Direction, Florence + The Machine, and more to London's Roundhouse. A revamped version of the previous iTunes Festival, the 2015 version will see a scaled-down lineup with ten dates from September 19-28, down from the usual 30 nights extending throughout the month.

With only a handful of artists announced so far, the remainder of the concert schedule will be filled out in the coming weeks. MacRumors has heard Take That will be part of the lineup, but Apple did not include the band in its initial round of announcements.

Admission for all concerts is free, but only UK residents can apply to win tickets with additional passes being made available through media partner giveaways.

This is syrup. Does Apple really want to be seen to espouse this kind of teeny crowd mentality. Actually calling it syrup is an insult to syrup.

Shame Lady Gaga isn't playing this year...she was brilliant in 2013. Same with Sigur Ros, they were awesome! Come to think of it, the 2013 iTunes festival had a brilliant lineup. Florence + The Machine will should be good this year though

She's getting to be "played out". She's now working more with Tony Bennett and she's not into those crazy marking gimmicks she used to do which was truly her claim to fame. I think she has a nice voice and can play the piano but for me she's limited on raw talent. It would be interesting to see how she'd fair in popularity had she came out without gimmicks. Plus, her music is nothing more than standard pop as well. Nothing extraordinary. She'd be inline with One Direction.

we like free stuff :)

Is this why its only 10 days now... before it used to be a whole month.. lack of artists ?

I don't think you've been paying attention to pop music from the last 60 years.

Most of the previous iTunes Festivals were shown live on the Apple TV and the Apple Music festival page in iTunes confirms that this years performances will also be shown on the Apple TV.

At the launch it was said that Apple Music will be coming to the Apple TV this Autumn.

Okay because I have been worried since there has not been any updates for Apple TV since the release of Apple Music and new iTunes because usually when iTunes gets updated and iOS also than Apple TV gets one to.

I also worried that Apple Music will not come to 3rd Gen Apple TV because new Apple TV out in September.

I'm sad it's being scaled down, but I'm really glad it's still being put on. I was afraid it may not be kept around with the introduction of Apple Music.

Apple MUSIC Festival - so why is 1 Direction there?

The bands announced so far seem to be very mainstream. :(

I tried following the links to explore the festival to have a look if there are any more interesting bands scheduled to appear but got this error message in iTunes...

Which is interesting as I am running iTunes 12.2 or later...

I'm not signed up to an Apple Music membership though. Are Apple restricting ticket applications to Apple Music members?

Take that have lost some of its members, One direction has lost some of its members, iTunes Festival has lost more of its credibility.

Pop music has gotten so bad and lame that it has finally lost my interest.

Only 10 nights?! Apple Music sure must suck big balls... :(

so iTunes festival is dead & now it's called apple music festival? 2007-2014 R.I.P?!

I echo these responses. Is Apple really trying to use big-name low-talent boy bands to garner attention for Apple Music? If so, that would be pathetic. Hey Apple, stay true to your roots. You don't need these cheesy pop artists... focus on the good music!

I'm a fan of the former series format, but it is what it is. I was hoping for a return of QOTSA, Tony Bennett, and some talent that can shake the rafters a bit.

So, maybe some groups at the Roundhouse and others at Apple's new Flying Saucer HQ site? If the "talent" is on par with who's already been announced, I'll be finding something else to do with my time. BTW, Apple - I'd pay to see some quality talent, and thanks for the past shows!

SXSW was too complicated because they were having a festival within a festival, and the only ones who could get into their festival were only people who were already there for the main festival.

That is probably why they didn't do it again this year. There are alternatives they could have considered, but then probably people weren't tuning into the webcasts either.

They are after a specific audience with Apple Music, so of course it's specific mainstream music. They want to say they're responsible for the majority of charted music based on streams, and this is one of the steps they can take in getting people to use the service.

I don't know what what you mean by how you stream. I click the button to watch the live event and it never works.... And I have a Xfinity's "Blast" service where I get over 80mbps.
