Apple Music First Impressions: Convenient All-in-One Experience With Overwhelming Design

Call me old school, but can you burn CD's from AM? I can't find this answer anywhere. Perhaps, you still need to own the songs to do this.

It seems to me it will work on more than one device.

It will work on 10.
It will stream 1 at a time.
And 10.10.4 is now live, along with Beats 1.

No, DRM, but as with previous iTunes you could burn DRM tracks.
Don't have any recordable media to test with.

Still waiting to hear how this plays with iTunes Match.

Match seems to be baked into Apple Music, but my match subscription renewed two weeks ago. If I cancel do I get that money towards apple music?

There was an update from Eddie Cue yesterday reported on Twitter that ITunes Match will be updated this fall

"The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection, or try again later"

Here we go...

Then it's a good thing Zane is not the only DJ. I've been listening to his shows and his musical taste is awful to me, also, Beats1 is a worldwide radio station for millions of Apple Customers so he better go a little more mainstream.

He probably isn't for everyone, and I agree some of it will need to be more mainstream. I just mean it definitely shouldn't all be chart / pop type stuff - it will have room for more unknown / new stuff.

What will be interesting isn't just what they play, but when they play it. Where Radio 1 in the UK works so well is that during the day it is more chart / pop stuff, and the evening shows are more specialist. So different audiences at different times of the day. And a fair amount of the new / unknown stuff tends to cross over into the daytime shows - so those artists get exposed to wider audiences and can really take off - for example the Ben Howards, Florences and Ed Sheerans of the world.

But if Beats 1 is broadcasting globally, then it will be interesting to see how that plays out, as obviously the daytime in California is at a different time to Europe.

Just observed that when you stream on iOS, it starts to download a cached copy.

And Settings has removed Match if AM on.

Album artwork from new additions not updating.

Apple Music is $9.99 in Canada. With the exchange rate, it's actually cheaper in Canada than in the U.S.: Canadians pay US$8.00 :D

Looks like Apple has improved with the updates. In the past I wouldn't even bother trying to download them near release because the wait time would be over an hour. Only 10 minutes estimated for this one.

No music today is worth 9.99 a month. Call when real bands show up to play! I don't spend nearly as much on music as I use to, that's because of the quality of work not the ease of getting content.
