Nope. No playlists button at the bottom of my app. I tapped the music app, then at the bottom I see 'For you', 'New', 'Radio', 'Connect' and 'My Music'.

I think I'm supposed to tap 'My Music'. So I go ahead, and do that. Nope, still no playlists button... (Scratch my head, trying to remember where it is...). I'm currently looking at the last track I played, but I still can't remember where that playlists button is. Ok, let's hit the 'Back' button and see if I can find it.... Nope, now I have 'All Apple Music' or 'My Music'. Ah, just realised it remembered what I was searching for last time (because I couldn't find it in the first place in the messed up interface). Ok, clear the search... Aha, finally found the list of my playlists...

I'll forget this totally unintuitive, messed-up sequence that I seem to have to follow every time. So ok, maybe it doesn't take me ages, but I shouldn't have to go hunting for it, every time I attempt to use it.

I found out how to replace the CONNECT button with PLAYLISTS:

I must have done that before. Try it and see if it works. I hope this helps make it a bit easier

I gave up on my beloved iTunes months ago. It's a mess. Nowadays every time I try to use it, I just get angry. Using Spotify to control my music library until Apple remembers how to design a usable UI.

Funny how many people say the same thing about the horrendous Spotify mess UI
... Well, everyone's got their preference.
As for Itunes, it's been essentially the same for a long long time, so not sure what you're getting at; for me, it never was a smooth experience EVER.

My wishlist for a redesigned music app:

- Landscape mode
- Shake to shuffle
- No transparent status bar over the album art in the Now Playing screen
- More sophisticated miniplayer
- A better and optimized design for the iPad
- Customizable tabs
- No 'connect'
- Merge 'new' and 'for you' tabs
- New app icon

One more for the list:
- notification of some sort for any newly released albums/singles for artists you have in your library.

Suggestion: back in the 80s and 90s Apple produced "style guides" that laid down a lot of good rules for the design of user interfaces - like how to make functionality easily discoverable and consistent by (e.g.) using consistent visual cues to distinguish buttons and controls from static content, how to label buttons on dialog boxes to avoid ambiguity about what "OK" or "Cancel" did, etc. etc.
. . . .
Usability, went out the window around when Ive came to power. Now it's all about emotion. Does it look cool? Do you look cool trying to use it, no matter that you can't use it because you can't find the functionality, or you have to click/tap/swipe/slide/double tap/double slide, etc. on things that don't give any usability clues.

What exactly can't you use? Give an example.

For the love of god PLEASE fix the damn thing that keeps eating all free storage on my phone!!

Maybe make it where when you are searching for Artist or a Album only 5 shows up only when there are more albums and other albums the artist in. Maybe when going under artist profile and going under album tab you all the albums not spinning load sign.

Maybe Tim Cook did better job at the current issues instead of worrying about new things with more problems.

I will be pissed if iTunes lives to see another year. Split it up already, it's so old and cruddy.

They still are in the learning process i might guess....... Mobile me was a flop from the first swithc .Mac > Mobile me and then there are still those lost emails..... but luckily we forget fast :D

I, as I've said, never had an issue. I don't know how many did, but those that did were pretty, and understandably, pissed.

I lost all of my email through Hotmail due to a crash of some kind, and I wasn't exactly ecstatic... Still, I think that iCloud isn't 100%. Close, but...

I would like to see landscape mode and more control over genius playlists like Spotify. Let me pick more then one song to define a playlist. Better sharing features to find popular user playlists. Smart playlists on mobile. Multiple beats channels. I love the feel of beats one but hate the music.

new interface, same old broken icloud music library.
You've summed it up quite nicely.

Apple just can't be everything to everyone. Cloud computing and music services are but two current examples.

The thought of an Apple Car seems just dreadful.

Seriously infected with incurable Narcissism... Apple can't help themselves

Thank God. iTunes on iOS took a severe dive when iOS 9 came out. Hopefully there will be a complete overhaul to the entire iTunes on iOS (read: return to what worked) when the GUI is redesigned.
