You know Apple News would be much more desirable if it allowwed for news customization that’s personalized to me, rather than Apple deciding what news I should be reading.

If you want, you can change it so the feed limits content to only the news source you want.

Voting just encourages the politicians (on both the left and right) to keep doing what they've been doing. No thanks to that. But I will be following your advice, which is valid, and will not be watching the results.

This isn't a business, they don't get elected based on profits. They get elected based on whoever have the higher percentage of votes (generally speaking), whether it's 10,000 votes or 100,000,000. Your inaction does not stop politicians from doing anything.

No offense, but that is nonsensical. Politicians don’t care about the number of voters, they care about winning. You can win an election with 51 votes if only 100 people voted. And rather than changing your policies to help 99% of the populace, you would cater to those 51 people. How is that helpful in a democracy? If you’re too lazy or cynical to vote, fine - but don’t try to make it sound like a virtue.

I've been finding the Apple News app very useful, more than I thought and keep finding myself back in it when I want to get an overview of what's going on. Have to say I like the Apple News App alot better than the Google News App (which seems to focus more on auto running video - which I don't like for news - video nor auto running it).

This will be a nice feature alot of people will probably use - no need to turn the TV on.
It’s nicer than the Google News app—I agree.

Certainly better looking

Unfortunately these days there is very little that 99% can agree on.

To assume Republicans and Democrats are the same side of a coin is a real head scratcher.

Favoring the life of babies over convenience, favoring constitutional rights over banning them, open borders over a defined country...and so on and so forth.

The parties are not the same.

- favoring women’s bodily autonomy and health over government interference
- favoring common sense gun control to end the constant mass shootings over catering to the NRA lobbyists
- favoring immigration reform over ripping toddlers away from their parents
- favoring social security and healthcare over tax cuts for billionaires

You’re right, the parties are not the same.

Let me Save you all from Wasting time with Election Results.

NOT ENOUGH Latinos, Blacks, or young people bothered to Vote. Nothing will change in terms of balance of power. Republicans will control everything.
You can't fight math, its a midterm election only a fraction of voters bother.

I agree because in the past, that may have been the case because I know a few people that don't vote because they say "it doesn't really affect me", or something like, "why bother, nothing changes coz all politicians are the same." This election, I know those same people that said those things are actively recruiting and promoting others to vote as well. It's the political climate that finally inspired them to vote on Tuesday. Whether whom you vote for and what your political views are, it's your responsibility to vote and be educated on the propositions and candidates. Other countries would spark revolutions just to get the opportunity to be heard, that some people take for granted. It may not affect you directly right away, but it will affect you in some way, slowly but surely, without even realizing it.

Do you really think that these issues are THAT simple?

We can disagree on all of that and perhaps this is not the correct forum for it.

But the point remains (and you agree) the parties are not the same.

To suggest otherwise is...well, I’m not really sure what I would call it. Immature maybe? It’s the kind of thing I heard from the slackers in college when they’d say they weren’t going to vote. “They’re all just the same, man...”

Did you really not see the post I was responding to?

But, you didn't really help yourself either by providing eye-rolling left wing talking points...

- Why do left wingers always feel the need to speak for all women when it comes to abortion? As if women don't exist on the right.
- Blue states have some of the worst gun related crimes, yet have some of the toughest laws restricting guns...
- "Ripping toddlers away from their parents" happened under Obama, yet left wingers never raised any concerns.
- I'm hardly a billionaire... or millionaire... or even hundred thousandaire, yet my tax cuts have been nice, thank you. Pay taxes, and you get tax cuts. It's magic, I know.

Those are actually great numbers for democrats in early voting for a mid-term.

Republican voters have historically almost always trailed Democrat voters for early voting. Ds may be up, but Rs are even higher. That was my point, in reference to the "blue wave."

And a lot more latinos, blacks, and young people voted Republican than you'd expect.

YES! This Latino has voted Republican since 2016 and I will from now on. I used to be a staunch Democrat until I opened my eyes and woke up. I will not let the regressive left take away my Constitutional rights and I will never let socialism infect this great nation. MAGA!
