There will be many surprises on Tuesday night in the heartland also called "flyover" land.

What kind of surprises?

Bring Apple news to Canada

Nope. You people have universal healthcare, so we have apple news. That will show you!

Just kidding... but, how about we trade the two? :D

The problem is that historically Republicans tend to have a heavy advantage in early voting. On the other hand, young people voting (predominantly democratic) are up 500% this year (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...gia-beto-orourke-ted-cruz-trump-a8609916.html).

Young people and women, energized by Parkland and #metoo, will swing this election. #BlueWave is coming.

The interesting thing is that there is a collision of two dynamic entities. We have baby boomer president who gives no cares about a filter and a newly entered voting-body millennial who's thought-process in things are dynamically different. No one can give a firm answer on what is coming to be. Indicators show our mid-aged on down, overall, aren't having any of this as they didn't think it would be like this when they voted or not voted in 2016. We'll see how all of this will pan out.

I've been finding the Apple News app very useful, more than I thought and keep finding myself back in it when I want to get an overview of what's going on. Have to say I like the Apple News App alot better than the Google News App (which seems to focus more on auto running video - which I don't like for news - video nor auto running it).

This will be a nice feature alot of people will probably use - no need to turn the TV on.
My biggest gripe and I am sure it is 100% intentional is it's insistence on using sources that aren't free. They will choose NYT and WSJ a LOT which requires a paywall. They'll even choose a local rag that requires a paywall.

I do hope people vote. It’s my opinion that Republicans offer no solutions to any real problems faced by Americans. On health care, retirement security, access to and affordability of higher education, child care, maternity leave, teacher pay, worker’s rights, wages, women’s rights, civil rights, and the environment, Republicans have failed or refused to offer solutions which help normal people every day. Time will tell. I’m voting on Tuesday.

Funny how that works. We're at historic unemployment #'s here in the USA, wages are up, minority workforce is growing, and the middle class got about $100/mo in their paychecks. N. Korea isn't lobbing missiles in the ocean or at Japan and we are beginning to see industry come back to the USA. Seems like those evil Republicans have failed the normal everyday people.

What liberal bias would that be? Please provide examples.
During the Kavanaugh hearings there were plenty of articles on Apple News about how bad he was and how we had to pass on his nomination. Nothing on the other side.

I'd bet my money on a #BlueWhimper over a blue wave.

I just did a search for Kavanaugh, there are no articles put out by Macrumors showing. Now if you are referring to forum threads on Kavanaugh, that's a different story. Forum threads and posts by members are not the same as articles put out bu macrumors directly. So to make an argument that macrumors shows a bias because of posts by members would be incorrect. I understand you weren't the one making said argument just pointing out that Macrumors wasn't the one making threads on the subject or showing a bias in the matter.

Wages are stagnant, the stock market has peaked, the deficit has ballooned, healthcare protections are being taken away, the State Department has been gutted, the EPA neutered, the FCC turned against the people, and the USA is now seen as both an unreliable partner and a worldwide laughingstock.

Market is doing fine. A small correction and it's been up this week.

Deficit ballooned under Obama but that was OK? We need to reign in all spending and stop squeezing the taxpayer. Shrink the government!

What healthcare protections were taken away? I ended up paying a lot more for less care when Obamacare was made law. Universal Healthcare is not the answer and all ideas for reform suck. They need to go back to the drawing board and make it like any other product - same coverage all across the USA and they need to accept anyone willing to pay with no exclusions.

State Department needed to be gutted.

What gutting happened at the EPA (other than the MM Global Warming Scam)?

I was speaking about Apple News, the topic of the article. Apple News does have a left bias.

The deficit ballooned in 2009 because of the financial crisis and shrank every year thereafter. What's Trump's excuse?
