I think it's good! Perverts need to just use Safari big deal! And the ones against it can go do thier own app stores... problem solved!

And how do you plan on making your own iPhone app store without jailbreakign (which I'm sure Apple likes less than iBoobs). Please tell.

The thing I don't get though is that attitude, that once I made the decision to buy a product I have to keep up with all the good and bads that come along with it. Just because I knew apps would be reviewed and still bought the phone, doesn't mean I have to like it and much less does it mean I have to agree with them changing the policies. There is a ton of things I like about my phone .. the appstore and the review process is not one of them.

T.

What the heck "bad" has happened to your iPhone since you purchased it??? What has Apple done?

Removed iGiggleBoobs? Is that it?

Are YOU a developer? Has Apple's review process affected you?

That's true. We should ban everyone that doesn't own an iPhone. :apple::apple::apple:

No. But it would be interesting if all the posters who work for companies which in any way can be considered apple competitors were required to identify themselves. There are quite a few here. Some are very obvious, others not as much.

I bought my iPhone 3G on launch day the day when the App Store first opened up. At the time, I had no idea Apple would be censoring the apps for content. If I knew that, I never would've bought the iPhone.

So you made a bad, uninformed decision.

I understand now. You have two years of whining about it here before you can correct it.

:D

Open source starts looking better and better. I don't have any of those types of apps on my phone, but I like knowing that if I want them, I can get them. I guess I like my freedom of choice in the matter.

Spontanios wankage. For when-ever the moment hits you. Cool.

I just hope your not standing next to me when it does!

:)

Good riddance.

I'm as raging a liberal as anyone and love freedom of speech, but seeing iBoobs or HoxSexSuperHotGirls in the top apps makes me really lose faith in humanity and I'd rather see more worthwhile apps (or at least more...content-heavy apps) be celebrated instead.

+1

I'm sure you're talking about me. You actually think I work for an Apple competitor because I don't like Apple's censorship? Ha!

Uh, no. Not quite. I was under the impression that Apple would not be big brother and would not be censoring the App Store. They never said they would and I had no reason to believe otherwise.

I find this funny. You are being "vocal" about your displeasure that Apple is not allowing you to buy iBoob type apps on you iPhone.

Would you be "vocal" about this to your boss? Your Parents? Your co-Workers?

"Honey, Mom, Dad, Boss, Apple is just pissing me off! They took iBoobs and iGiggleBoobs off the app store! I am going to get an Android phone ASAP so I can purchase these apps!"

LOL

I wouldn't have a problem telling any of those people that I was pissed about apple banning the boobs from the iphone. I wasn't raised in a prude household and I know for a fact that my boss likes boobs.

Just make your own products and be in control of them... that's your right! But to tell Apple what to do isn't YOUR right and you have the right and a CHOICE to NOT use it! Does anyone come to you and tell you what to put on your blog or anything you own? No... so what gives you the right to tell others? Just go and invent your own products and move on with you demands... See, solved!

What gives Apple the right to tell me that I can't have a boob app on my phone that I paid good money for? I don't want any of those appls on my phone, but if I did, then who the hell is Apple to say no?

IMO, I would think Apple doesn't seriously want to ban these apps from their store. They would have never approved in the first place if that was the case. They must feel that a larger number of their customer base oppose sexual content, over those that purchase such content. So as a business decision, they decided to remove them. It's just part of the game of making money.

The novelty of the App Store has worn off for me. I use to check it out all the time when it first arrived, but now it is flooded with too much junk. If I hear about something specific being available, I'll check it out, but other than that, I don't browse the App Store anymore.

TBH it's quite refreshing to see people thinking outside of the box, rather than following to the letter whatever Big Brother :)apple:) tell them.

If you oppose sexual content, don't buy it. It's really that simple. If those people who complained to Apple are too stupid to figure it out, then perhaps they should buy a RAZR.

True.

I oppose killing people. Dear Apple, please remove any violent games from the store. :)

While I agree, there are a lot of redundant apps (how many Flashlight or iFart apps do we need?), getting rid of apps just b/c they're sexual in nature seems a little silly to me. If they're getting rid of those apps, it's also stupid to not get rid of the violent ones, too. IMO, Apple should keep these apps, just put it in its own category and let individuals be able to block those apps. That way, people don't have to see them if they don't want, are able to get them if they do, and Apple can continue raking in the money from them so it's a Win-Win situation for everyone.

One thing though, I've seen a few posts in this thread about how sad it is Apple allows (or at least allowed) sexual apps on its App Store. I don't what's sadder: that or the fact that these apps are on the most downloaded boards.

Omfg

Complaints? If you don't like it don't download it. Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Stop trolling Apples complaint line with your useless ****.

I have women in and around my life I can look @ that any time I want... For the wierdos who can't find a lady to catch a thrill isn't Apples problem... This is a personal issue and something you don't want to be slapping everyone in the face with! And again... Just invent your own products then you can perve out all you want!

Yeah, it is that simple for you and I. Too bad a large number of Apple's customers don't see it that way.

I have no problem with sexual content on the App Store.

This isn't about being able to "perve out" (and I disagree with the notion that looking at this sort of thing makes you a pervert, everyone looks at porn) but it's about censorship.

Like I said, I don't have any of these apps. I don't want any of these apps. I am against censorship, whether it's fart apps, boob apps, violent games, whatever, I am against the systematic banning of them from the app store because a bunch of prude puritans don't like their content.
