This seems too good to be true, especially on the heels of being able to change your Apple Account email address. At the same time, these aren't complicated changes, and it makes you wonder why it took so long.
I came here to say the same thing. It seems too good to be true.

Now just make it where we can move our Apple Card to a new Apple ID and we are set!
Ask for your Personal data in the Apple account web page to be sent to your Mac, usually it will be sent in 3 Days, Afterwards Remove Apple account element on your iPhone before you activate the new Account etc.. ;)

Same thing happened to me.
So i got the same error. Unable to Migrate Purchases. One or both accounts is not eligible for purchase migration. If I turn off family sharing…will I be able to easily set it up on the other account smoothly?

Yeah. I’m assuming a Season Pass would qualify as a “preorder” like they mention in the support article. I’ll try to migrate again after my TV season ends.

I am also getting the unable to migrate error. My last “purchase” was my Apple TV+ renewal on 2/1/2025. It says to wait 15 days since your last purchase, but I don’t want to go through and cancel all subscriptions and redo them all. It also says you can’t have music data associated with both accounts. I do. But then on their support page it says music data will replace any existing music data on the primary account, so that’s confusing.

I’ve waited forever for this. I guess I’ll try again on the 15th and see if it was the Apple TV+ renewal but they need to be more open about what exactly is preventing the migration.

Interestingly, it doesn't seem like it's actually implemented as a move. Instead, it's an association of the two accounts that seems to be reversible.

I have no plans to reverse it, though. I've been waiting for this forever. I've had my original account since before it was called an Apple ID, let alone before it could make purchases (I think it started out as ADC Account).

Exactly. Not enough detail on what is causing it. Keep us updated if the 15 days thing works. I’m not sure if I have music associate with the primary account. This is really fresh. I’m sure they’ll get more detailed as we go. I’m sure a lot of people will want to migrate.

Yeah. Seems like it just links them more than a merger of data. Still more convenient. Something is preventing me from doing it at the moment but the list of reasons is too long to narrow down.

I stopped buying music on iTunes years ago when I finally realised they were never going to upgrade their content to lossless files.
