The cube looks nice, I need something for the office. It doesn't mention the 8 or Ultra, so I am guessing it does not fast charge them. Not necessarily a deal breaker since my Ultra's battery is really awesome, but it would be nice to have full functionality for those times I fall asleep with it on.

The video from Anker does say the Cube fast charges Series 7. I see no reason why it wouldn‘t fast charge 8 and Ultra.

i went and bought this at the apple store tonight - returning it

This thing is really heavy. I mean, very heavy. Heavier than the Belkin 3 in 1. If you wanted to take this thing for travel, you'd feel it.

The watch Ultra also has some difficult being put onto its charger. It works, but it feels flimsy and very easy to dislodge off the charger. There is zero wiggle space, so jus taking your phone off the charger will almost always dislodge the watch ultra.

If you have a pro max iphone, it fits, but there's very little space under the phone, and when taking the phone off the charger, the whole cube moves up with the movement to take the phone off.

I wish this thing worked well because I'd love a solid, compact charger, but this isn't it.
Can you tell if it fast charges the watch?

Cube idea looks great but, as usual, you cannot buy it. Click through the links and you get an unavailable message. Is it me or am I suffering from a cognitive perception failure? I am getting sick and tired of hyped products that you cannot buy or will be delivered in 3 to 6 months. I would love to read about something I can actually purchase. Sigh...

12 South and Mophie are so over priced ... I bought a way better 3in1 stand off AMAZON FOR $30.00 ...
It may offer features fit your needs better, but if it's cheap off-brand electronics, it's not at all clear that it's "way better", unless you've opened it up and inspected the electronics, and are qualified to do so. There are a lot of random-brand electronics on Amazon that cut a lot of corners in their design, some to the point of threatening safety.

That said, there are a lot of lesser known name brands that are much less expensive than 12 South and Mophie (the latter has never particularly impressed me), while still maintaining great performance - Anker is usually one of those brands.

Mumble mumble global supply chain issues mumble mumble.

It's going to be this way for a while longer, unfortunately. Apple manages to make it look like there are not shortages, with a lot of their premier products, because they've locked in contracts for the supply of parts many months and sometimes years ahead - a side effect of having to feed a manufacturing machine that makes upwards of half a million iPhones a day. Lots of other companies have it much worse. I follow some small electronics companies (like Adafruit and Raspberry Pi), and they keep getting quoted delivery times six months or more out for some part they need in order to make something.

The cube was like designed and produced before the 8 and Ultra were announced. Apple does not appear to have announced any sort of changes to the charging for them compared to previous models, so I would venture a guess that it will fast charge them.

I got this for like €30 on Amazon and it works great. It’s small and portable, works with MagSafe fast charging and the finish is surprisingly good.

I just couldn’t justify spending €150 on a charger. Hopefully it won’t destroy my devices in the long run :/
Does this work with Apple Watch though

Link? Why post just pictures? Odd.

Priced at $150, the Anker Cube is...
too damn expensive...

Anker was never the cheapest brand but they always had good quality. But more recently they are overdoing it...

Here's a price chart for reference... Went from 90 to 140 in just 2 years. Newer models are even priced higher...

=> Unless you are getting it on Black Friday at 30-50% off you are likely spending too much...

Is this Anker cube vapourware? I can’t seem to see anything about it on Ankers website and the Apple Store doesn’t let you order either.

I like the cube idea, but the watch shelf should pivot to work in nightstand mode. It also would of been neat if the adapter and cable stored in the cube for travel. Don’t need it but feel like the design team missed on details.
I would definitely order it if the watch shelf pivoted.

"Anker says it is also able to fast charge the Series 7, Series 8, and Ultra."

Where does Anker say this? The product listing on Apple's site says nothing about fast charging any Apple Watch, and this product isn't even on Anker's own website, at least as of right now.

I don't know, if the company doesn't even know the names of the products their item is supposed to charge (AirPods Pro, Apple Watch), that doesn't give me much confidence. Also, what the heck are they talking about with the "1.Double click to open/close"? What are you opening or closing?

And is this actual MagSafe charging at 15W? Does it fast charge the Apple Watch Series 7 and newer?

The cube does not seem to be fast charging my Ultra. The box also says that it charges both AirPods and a watch at 5w. Not a concern for me since I charge my Ultra every 2 days, and always overnight.

I think they legally can’t use Apple branded names for advertising, maybe because the product looks a lot like the official Apple duo charger?

Anyway, yes the left one uses MagSafe and charges at 15W.

For the Apple Watch charger I cannot confirm because I still use the Series 3, but it charges normally like my official Apple puck, magnets and all.

The double click part is about the built in LED light in the right around the Apple Watch charger which you can use as a night light and adjust intensity of the light or turn it off completely.
