Starting today, Apple is selling the Magic Keyboard With Numeric Keypad in Space Gray on a standalone basis, allowing customers who don't own an iMac Pro to purchase the accessory for $149.

The Space Gray Magic Keyboard was introduced alongside the iMac Pro and was previously only sold alongside that machine.

Apple is also selling a Space Gray version of the Magic Trackpad 2 for $149 and a Space Gray Magic Mouse 2 for $99, which means that all of the exclusive accessories sold with the iMac Pro are now available to all customers.

While iMac Pro owners still get a main machine that's available in an exclusive Space Gray color, the accessories, which had been selling on eBay for quite a bit of money, are no longer exclusives.

Orders placed today for the new Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2 will ship out and deliver later this week.

Don't forget the Magic Mouse 2 as well!

Glad there's now the option, but it does seem a bit cheeky that the Space Grey versions cost more. Reminiscent of when buying a black MacBook cost more than a white one.

I wish they’d do a non numercal pad version of the keyboard.

Also white keys are really much better. iMac keyboard still looks great after years, MacBook looks shiny and worn after just a month or two of usage.

Damnit! I literally just bought a new Magic Keyboard to replace my borked Apple Wireless (with the lovely AA battery barrel)

I love that these are now available separately, but I'll wait for a sale at some point somewhere before getting them.

Finally nobody needs to pretend to be an iMac Pro owner just to get the Space Grey version.

The black MacBook was mid level specs-you we’re getting more hd storage at the time. https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=A1181... I doubt there is much different under the paint in the keyboard though.

But where is AirPower? Surely it can't meet the March release window when they take down the entire store late-March and yet its no where to be seen?

Ah, true, forgot that - could you spec the white one to be equivalent? Wonder if there was still any price difference.
    --- Post Merged, Mar 27, 2018 ---
Apple never set March as a release date, just '2018' - were many rumours pointing to March, however.

    Good lord $149?

For that money I’d want mechanical keys and backlit keys

Attractive but way too costly. I can afford to wait and see if the prices come down.
