If you by from a small business like me you can likely get before Christmas and cut down on wire clutter and waste at same time :)
While that's a cool item, it's not a USB C magsafe charging pack, nor is it USB C Airpod pros. I get you are trying to advertise, but I can also get underwear and socks prior to Christmas which would be about as helpful as your wall mount when trying to charge my desk trackpad or wireless keyboard.

I love apple products, been with apple since the early 2000s.
But things are changing at apple and I’m finding myself buying less and less of their products. I can afford them easily, but I don’t have to. Not when alternatives exist that accomplish the same end goal. For much…much less.

Took the words right out of my mouth

I do wireless charging, so maybe later I replace all with the AirPods Pro 3. Makes more sense to me as just buy the case by itself . . just my opinion 🤭

And by the way, I'm more interested in USB-C connectors on my keyboard, keypad and that finally the connector of the mouse is in the front not underneath

MacAlly's inexpensive numeric keypad looks and works the same as the MacBook keyboard, and has USB-C. My wife has one, and uses it all the time. They have plenty of inexpensive USB-C keyboard, trackpads and mice options as well.

Hmm, it's never easy buying for the entire family. Here's my thoughts.

1) How's the quality of the third party AirPods case you get online? I don't think Apple intends for their AirPods user base to immediately run out and replace their existing charging cases with this. It's a low volume product, designed for replacements or for the small number who really want that usb-c port to streamline their charging setup, but can't justify getting a brand new set of AirPods.

2) AirPods by their very nature have a set lifespan (because they house such small batteries). If you can't see yourself replacing them every 2 years, I would advise against them. And usually, it's the batteries in the AirPods themselves that will die out first, not the one in the case.

3) I don't see many people buying the cases on their own unless they really want usb-c charging with their AirPods Pro. Myself, I am using the current 2nd gen and plan to just wait for V3 to be released and then upgrade all at one go.

4) I suspect these products, as with so many of Apple's pricing decisions, is designed to maximise profit. You are right in that Apple may sell more if only their prices were lower, but it may not necessarily result in the most amount of money made. This isn't the iPhone, where pricing it competitively can get more users into the ecosystem and get them buying other accessories like the Apple Watch.

5) My experience with Apple is a bit different. I find myself buying less, but not because they suck or are more expensive. I am just happy with the apple products that I currently do still use, have no intention of going beyond the ecosystem, and will still be upgrading to future Apple products. Just maybe not as often.
The third party case works without fail, without issues whatsoever.
And it’s able to be replaced almost 4 times over before even hitting $99.99 plus tax.

And not a single set has lasted more than 15 months. The batteries fail you are completely correct. But Apples features feel like useful gimmicks and nothing more. My AirPods died two months ago and Apple just refused to warranty my wife’s AirPods case at 12 months and 13 days. After buying Apple care for the first four sets I kinda gave up. The costs continued to mount. So just don’t want to continue to pay for warranties for products when I have so many of them. My home owners insurance sold me a policy with coverage for personal electronics and it’s rolled into my payments that amount to about $10 a month. And it covers everything from the microwave to my AirPods and computers.
No separate Apple care for every…. Single…device……
I won’t do it ever again. No more AppleCare.

I purchased a set of nothing buds 2. Paid $109.00
They are absolutely amazing and have great features and are very comparable to my AirPods. They don’t have the seamless workspace the AirPods do, but they cost less, will cost less to replace and do exactly what I need them to without any issue.
And if they go missing or fail my insurance company cuts me a check to replace them. If my MacBook Pro , my PC or studio died. They cut a check and it gets replaced.

Which leads me to my closing statement in my last comment.
I am using my Apple products less. I am replacing the non AirPods devices much much less and using my PC more.

And when my Apple devices meet the end of their life I will probably move over to PC completely. Because there isn’t a single task I can complete on my Mac and iPhone that I can’t completed elsewhere. And save a fortune doing it.

I love Apple. But like I said, Apple is changing.
And it’s a “ it’s not me, it’s you” kinda situation.

I'm waiting for the updated/upgraded H2 chip to come to tv / iDevice, by this time my App2's will be worn out I believe, then my Platinum ears will be awash in cd+ quality sounds 🥳🤩🤪

For anyone thinking Apple will replace your current Gen2 Lightning for USBC is bogus.

If you need a replacement case (lost or because of Apple care) Apple can still provide you with the original case you purchased.

That includes AirPods Pro with and without MagSafe. Remember everyone, it goes by serial number

Uh thread is about AirPods not trackpads and keypads bro
Agree with you Bro...it's also not about MagSafe charging packs which is what I was referring to. Context is key. When you just pull one line out of my response it really throws off the dialogue.
