So many words to just say, if your body isn't giving you the right signals, see a doctor because you are malfunctioning.

You missed my point, it’s not about the body giving the right signals, it’s that we, as a society, are really good at suppressing bodily signals. We burn the midnight oil and abuse caffeine sources instead of listening to body cues about sleep. This is a mixed bag, as being able to suppress the signal to urinate or defecate allows us to suppress the need to do so until we’re in restrooms, which is more hygienic (and less messy). But being able to habitually operate with reduced sleep is less useful overall. Just because we’re a little thirsty doesn’t mean we’ll immediately take steps to satisfy that bodily need, if it’s seemingly inconvenient in just the moment. From there, it’s very easy to keep delaying that need until it becomes increasingly blatant.
