Has anyone successfully gotten through to T-Mobile on the phone? Been on hold for 52 minutes now.

I've been on hold with the AT&T Premier line for about 45 minutes. I too ordered a 6+ from AT&T only to find that the shipping time on Apple was much less. I hadn't received my email confirmation form AT&T when I placed my Apple order and my Apple order when through with no problem. I contacted Apple to make sure my order wouldn't get cancelled and I was assured it wound not. The apple rep even gave me the serial number of my new phone.

Has anyone had any luck getting through to AT&T Premier this morning. If so, how long was your wait time.

See my post here: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/19648524/

Your ATT order should get auto canceled. The Apple one will go through first. Same exact situation as you, just didn't call and it worked automatically :)

So if I want to buy a device outright, and I’m on Verizon with 4 months left on contract, I move through the order process on Apple.com, not eligible [no problem], add to cart, but it looks like the cart reflects some kind of 2 year commitment. I just want to buy the phone and replace an existing line, do nothing to change my contract.

Is that just showing my existing contract since I did move through the order process by using my cell number? I’ve never purchased “off contract” so I’m not familiar with the process.

Maybe just maybe it's not the 4" zealots, but rather the former Androiders going for the 5.5". Maybe?

I guess at this point, you'd call me a flip-flopper between Apple and HTC.

I ordered the Plus over the regular for four reasons: OIS, bigger battery, 1920x1080, and 401ppi.

I personally think a 4.7" screen sized phone is the sweet spot. But I am so underwhelmed with the M8's camera that I wasn't going to settle this time around.

Was going to wait till release day, but since I could still order online at 8am CST(!) for delivery to me at work on release day (19th), just went ahead and pulled the trigger on a T-Mobile 64GB Silver 6...capacity is doing well for the regular 6.

Amazing compared to the 5s release last year...its going to be dicey for anyone buying a regular 6 to resell on eBay in the states and turn a profit...although the plus size looks like last year's Gold model

Looks like you bought an unlocked for full price to use on T-Mobile. If so, you should have purchased the Verizon unlocked instead... It works perfectly on ANY US carrier, including T-Mobile, whereas the gimped version you ordered for $749 is locked to T-Mobile, if I understand correctly. #
Less resale value.

A lot of information going around about the t-mobile ver. listed on apple website, i went with off contract t-mobile and honestly I'm 99% sure its unlocked and if its not it is a full price of contract purchase :) they will unlock it without any fees.

That being said, the verizon model is the better purchase but i though it was not possible to get it off contract.

I ordered very early in the morning and I got a confirmation email with an order number, so I'm assuming I'll be able to pick it up on launch day? I'm just a little concerned as I don't see any authorization on my credit card, can anyone comment on whether your credit card was authorized? I know they can't charge me until I get the item but I'm very surprised to see nothing on my statement

I basically did the same thing and had proper confirm e-mails for everything as well. I had a line (2 lines) with an upgrade, the Apple Store was not working and this was before the App started working so I ordered right at 3:02AM EST from AT&T for a 6 Space Grey 128GB. The other line I decided to wait and I got the store iPad app to work at 3:40AM EST or so and placed an order for the second line.

When the online Apple Store (not app) came to life again at like 5AM EST, I noticed that I could still upgrade that line that I had placed a preorder at AT&T with. I checked Apple.com's "Upgrade Eligibility" tool and it confirmed this. The system on AT&T's side showed "processing" for my order, and I had a cancel option as well. My ATT account on AT&T's website even showed the line still upgrade eligible but showed the other line I had used the Apple Store iPad app to order as used/not eligible.

So I submitted a cancel request that they said I would get an e-mail for with AT&T, placed an order via Apple.com when it came up about 5AM, and I got an e-mail very soon after stating the order was auto-canceled at AT&T because it was already taken. I did submit a cancel request right before on ATT to be safe, but I could see that it was the Apple Store order of the same line that "kicked" the AT&T one out. The auto cancel e-mail stated that the line was no longer upgrade eligible (I wonder why ). Now that line shows as proper no upgrade as it should after placing it again with Apple too :p

So tl;dr - if you can still use an upgrade on Apple's Store and have a preorder with AT&T that hasn't processed to the point of showing that line as already used you can place an order with Apple if the shipping times are same/better and it will cancel the order on AT&T's side.

I think AT&T takes about a day or so at least to update their system (maybe intentionally for people like me who place an order with :apple: directly and have a pending preorder on the AT&T site as well). Makes sense as they have less stock than Apple directly and probably would defer that to Apple if they can. It's the same price/customer anyway and they don't have to deal with much. Decent business practice I suppose ;)
Thanks for the reply. I still can't see my order on the AT&T site to even try to cancel it. I guess i'll wait a bit and see what happens. Both emails said ETA of 9/19. No big deal.

I stayed up until 3am so I could order it and get it on release. Now I won't get it until October 13-21. So I will lose the Gazelle price I locked in to sell my iPhone 5, and October 21 is when I'm out of my current 2-year contract with at&t -- so instead of going with NEXT, I can save on the phone and just enter a new contract. I may not get my phone until xmas if I wait, but Apple screwed me by not going live when they were supposed to.

Yeah, Apple screwed you.

I believe your right, you'll have to walk in & buy to get Verizon or AT&T off contract...by design for Verizon and AT&T of course (get that 2 year lock-in). I've done the same as you with the T-Mobile...will see what the word is on release day before cracking the box open.

Yeah ordered at 8 something EST in the morning, not someone that typically orders on the first day.

Order is looking to be 3-4 weeks so Mid to Late Oct, hopefully conditions change by then, so will have to see. iPhone 5 will do just fine in the meantime.

Ah, I see that you are correct sir.
My bad, lol- just trying to look out, in case you could change.
As an aside, the phone went on sale here on the east coast usa at 3am.... I somehow slept through my 2:40am alarm & woke @ at 4:45am, went on the VZ website & ordered my 64gb 4.7" white & gold... arrives by 09/19 is what it has listed.

I already ordered 3 hours and 1 minute ago through att.com before 12 AM PDT! But Shipping for the iPhone 6 Plus was always 14-21 business day shipping, now finally moved to 21-28 day shipping.

This happened to me with the 4, and i got my phones on launch day. You might be fine?

It gave me the option for the Sacramento store.

What?!!!!!! For a iPhone 6 grandè "Plus"?
I'm
A hour from Sac and I would've jumped all over that. I had my 5S,iPad Air and my computer all trying since 12:01 and didn't see one available for store pickup, not even in sac :(

Aside from waking up in the middle of the night hoping to order a new phone, this really isn't a big deal. You will still be able to buy the phone once it comes out. The fact that millions of people tried to do the same thing you did shouldn't be a reason for you to be mad at Apple. Demand is high and its a combination of a race and luck. If you get one, great but, 7 models in, we all know what to expect on pre-order morning.

AT&T screwed up again... I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus five minutes after midnight PDT... before their server went down from the volume. I just got an order confirmation email saying it will ship within 35-42 business days.

Unlikely to happen - people might flock to the Note 4 now that Apple can't deliver enough 6 Plusses

if i go to buy a mercedes and they dont have the model i want, i sure as hell don't go across the street to the toyota dealer to see what they have.

Anyone else having a problem with AT&T forcing a Mobile Share option on the Apple pre-order page? Both my wife and I are still grandfathered under the Unlimited iPhone LTE plan, and my upgrade did not prompt for this. I logged into her AT&T account to check her plan and she is still listed as having Unlimited Data - each time I retry her pre-order through Apple, it forces the selection of a Mobile Share plan. Any ideas?
