I was able to preorder a 6 (64gb) from AT&T at about 3:10AM and then I went ahead and preordered from Apple at 3:50AM when it finally decided to work. It's for the same line and I received confirmation emails for both of them.

So AT&T will automatically cancel my order from them? Is it possible to get two iPhones for the same line?

I made the same mistake. Ordered from AT&T, then apple. I got an at&t confirmation though. The AT&T site has a button to cancel the preorder, but it doesn't appear to work. My apple.com order went through as well, so now I'm on hold with AT&T canceling my order with them.

had ZERO problems ordering at 6AM EST for 9.19 delv.

Got my 6 space gray 128g. Would have liked to have a 6 in the 5S size as i think the smaller size is perfect.

Yes 64Gb iphone 6. I debated it hard but in the end I have an iPad mini retina and felt I didn't "need" the larger phone as much as I wanted it.

I logged on about 3 minutes till 3am. Page refreshed twice and was finished within 30-60 seconds. I was surprised as hell. Even though I logged into the regular ATT wireless page I was redirected to the premier page after login. Not sure if that made a difference or not.

I can't believe how badly Apple handled everything this year!! It's never been this bad. It took over an hour before I could even order anything on the Apple App, the website never came up.. I ended up ordering one + through Apple the other through ATT, both say 3-4 weeks it seems. They must have made way to few + models, I have never seen ship times go up that fast! Plus the regular model you can now still get for delivery on the 19th, no one must want that one. Well I guess Apple got the message loud and clear, people want BIG phones, or they really want IS.

I can't wait to see the Samsung commercial later this morning.

i wonder when Samsung will post a commercial showing all the dust that collects on their unsold phones because no one cares that they released new models. or the tumbleweed rolling by their announcements.

Apple release's smash servers. Samsung release's do nothing.

One of the sloppiest live streams of their keynote, and worst pre-order experience yet.

I think the 4 release was worse. At least with this release the store was down. With the 4 it went halfway through then failed. Many people had half orders that used their upgrades.

And the absolute worst was the 3g, waited in line for hours because Apple had to activate the phones, but their system was down.

Its not so bad waiting in line for hours if you eventually get the phone. What about the poor people who next Friday (I will probably be one of them) that queues for hours only to be told stocks for iP 6+ are gone.

The 4 was pretty bad, I do remember having to reload many many times.. but I did get through for a release day ship date. And yeah, waiting in line for the 3G wasn't fun with the activation issues, I got sent away without a phone myself. But last night I really hated, I woke up at 3, nothing working for an hour, right when I can get in I do, and already ship dates of 3-4 weeks for a 6+ :( What did they do, make 100 6+'s.... Just sad really.

why cancel? either they will realize one of them cant be fullfilled because the upgrade has been used or they will send you 2 phones... just return one. Don't waste your time and their time with this issue, they have bigger things going on right now.

1. Almost everyone here is ordering the Plus, I can't wait to see the order statistics down the road...

Not me.. this is just ridiculous...

I have an account with AT&T Premier because of company discount. Was able to just log on to My AT&T, look at upgrade options, and order the 128GB iPhone 6 (not 6+) in Space Gray, scheduled for delivery on 9/19, Two yr contract, with no hassle whatsoever. No loading delays, no problems, "smooth as buttah."

By the way, I ordered an iPhone 6 (4.7") 64 GB in Space Grey. I had seriously considered getting the iPhone 6+ but after trying to put a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in my shirt pocket (I borrowed one from a friend with the protective removed) and finding it totally uncomfortable to stick that phablet in any pocket, I ended up with a regular iPhone 6.

the 5S was my worst experience. got there like 3 hours before the store opened. only 20 people deep in line and still got stuck with ugly-ass space grey because the store only had like 5 gold and 5 silver models in stock.
The pre-ordering of the 5C was a bit of a hassle but i think its fun. I always order from both AT&T and Apple, to see who fullfills my order first. The carrier websites are never built to handle the load of a pre-order and the apple site always loses connection with the carriers eligibility servers.

the resolution on that screen looks horrible! looks paper thin though ;)

Like everyone else, I tried to get on the Apple Store website for nearly an hour after it was supposed to go live at 2am CDT without success. I had to order through the website because I wanted the T-Mobile version which you couldn't order using the iOS app. I had planned to get a 128GB 6 Plus, but by the time I woke up those were already showing 3-4 weeks for availability. So I just ordered a 64GB iPhone 6 instead and it will be delivered on 9/19. Of course the stupid silicone case shows 3-4 weeks, so I'll just find a case at a local store in the meantime and return the Apple silicone case when it ever arrives since it won't let me cancel that from my order.

All in all, this was easily the worst preorder experience I've ever had with Apple and it was extremely disappointing to say the least. Not that Apple will really care about this either, but their blunder cost them $235 from me anyway since I stepped down to the lower priced model and will also be returning the case as soon as it arrives.

I realize supply might be more tight with the 5.5 than the 4.7 but I also have the suspicion that despite all the bashing of the 5.5 that model will turn out to be the more popular one of the two.

I think many will be shocked just how well the 5.5" model will sell. There were some people on here that thought a large screen iPhone would be a mistake and poor seller because big screens are an Android thing. Then it was released and the doubters all embraced it. Funny how it always works the same way around here. :)

One thing should be clear by now: Apple massively underestimated the demand for the 6 Plus model. I find it hard to believe that all the 4" zealots are now going for the 5.5" model, but that's apparently what's happening. People have been bashing Android phablets for their screen size like crazy, especially on this forum, and now they're all going for the super-sized model. Just a little bit of hypocrisy going on, don't you think?

Maybe just maybe it's not the 4" zealots, but rather the former Androiders going for the 5.5". Maybe?

Since I haven't been able to get an answer I figured I'd ask here.

Due to the clusterfrak that was the preorder I got 2 reservations through the Apple Store app. What does that mean exactly? Will I still get it on release day or 7-10 days or will it be a month like it currently says on the store?

I like how youve come to this conclusion based on no knowledge of who ordered what.

Do you have any real problems?

lol!:) They have anew Apple cut down soon.

I already ordered 3 hours and 1 minute ago through att.com before 12 AM PDT! But Shipping for the iPhone 6 Plus was always 14-21 business day shipping, now finally moved to 21-28 day shipping.

I should have waited 3 HOURS and order through the Apple Store because it's still 7-10 business days for shipping! I did reserve one using the Apple Store App on my iPhone a couple hours ago and I can confirm the order within 24 hours of getting an email. I just would have to cancel my AT&T order. I don't think I can do that, but I can refuse the delivery when it finally comes after I get the iPhone 6 Plus from Apple. Though that would be messy to clean up my AT&T account.

I had a similar problem. I ordered through ATT and said 14-21 days. When I got up this morning I noticed my CC put a hold on my account for fraud charges so the order didn't go through. I'll have to call ATT and make sure they cancel the order even though the charge was rejected.

I then went to Apple's site and reserved a phone for pickup on the 19th (I was surprised that was still available). Unfortunately, I can't see the order on their website, it just keeps saying "Sorry, try again later." I'll assume they're just jammed up at the moment. I did get an email confirmation of my order though.

I was able to pre-order mine at betastall.com at 1 AM, the pre-order went through successfully,it ships September 19th, glad wont be waiting 2-3 weeks :)

Er.... no either you have been scammed or scamming us Mr 1 Post.

Agreed! I think it's likely because it's truly the "newest" model available and the most different/unique. That tends to happen. Remember the freak out when the white iPhone came out. Then the white iPhone 4 craziness. Then of course the gold phone came out and that's all anyone wanted. I think it's the same for the 6 plus.
