Impossible to defend this really it's just ridiculous.

Will these also fit the monitor stand? I don’t have a Mac Pro as it’s too expensive, but was hoping to just wheel the stand around on these?

Has anyone seen any rationale from Apple attempting to justify this price?

As much as this is getting attention being in Information Technology I'm not surprised in the least bit. This isn't meant to be a residential device. Take a look how much Ram, Spinning Disks, and SD Cards cost when you slap HP, Dell, or Cisco on them. It's no different than any other business technology.

I get that Mac Pros are high end machines, but do the wheels really need be expensive too? It’s like paying $5000 for a pine cone car freshener just because you have an expensive car.

So the wheels cost more than the tires for my car. I drive a Mercedes.

I'm not sure what purpose the second part has other than maybe trying to brag?

It's not like you're buying Mercedes tires. For all we know, you're buying re-tread tires from a guy in an alley.

I'm also not sure of the relevance of comparing to wheels or tires on a car at all. Our current family car is probably valued at less than the Mac Pro config I would buy (when you include stuff like after market memory, PCIe M2 cards etc).

Guess what? My family car also doesn't pay the ****ing bills.

The ridiculous analogies people try to use to compare things is getting tired.

We get it: you think the Mac Pro, and by retention the accessories for it, are expensive. Build a ****ing bridge and get over it already.
