I’m surely not an hater. I’ve been defined as a fanboy, at the time. And I am sort of it.
But this is outrageous.
Get outta here with your logic.Just don‘t buy it.
There is no such things as bad news ... as long as people continue talking about your brand.
In both cases Apple wins.
- The complaining group will never buy the MacPro
- Pros who need the machine are not affected by all this negativism
$175/wheel.
Apple is the "Supreme" of the tech world.

The only thing may be the feet and wheels don't put the Mac at the same height, I'm not sure of that. Either way, I want the wheels and two monitor stands so I can fashion an Apple skateboard.Considering the handles too, you may well be onto something! Lift from the side where the feet are and wheel it along, and finding versions of the feet on Amazon like the first alternative Apple Watch bands...

I could buy a console and quite a few games for the price of these things.
You could by 140 Big Macs. Or 105 reams of Xerox paper. Or 4273 (give or take) shares of Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
But none of those will really help you to move your workstation around a lab or wherever you have it. Except maybe the Big Macs if you squeezed all the grease and oil out, and used it as lubricant on the floor to make the feet slide I guess..
I don't think they're particularly top-heavy or unstable, are they?I'd bolt it to the floor. That thing isn't going to risk falling over, or falling off something.
I find that hard to believe, unless they're rich beyond any reasonable definition, and bought both of them as status symbols.probably threw out their older 'trash can' Pro's anyway.
if you are selling wheels as an option the price shouldn’t go north of $99 since you are already making a good profit out of the computer itself.
I was just thinking about those people, more specifically the ones who say "if you can afford a Mac Pro you can afford the wheels", and I realised what an absurd point of view that is. If I'm spending £5,000 on a computer, that does not mean I can afford an extra ten percent of the price just to put it on casters!Knowing Apple, I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t making much profit off those wheels and they were just made in some ridiculous extremely expensive manner. Like milled out of a single piece of metal by some artisan craftsman lol.
the funny part about the Mac Pro is the “stop complaining because you’re poor” people. like yeah I guess there’s a certain level of affluence you have to reach before a $400 wheel option is a “**** it” decision.
to me just buying the base model at $6000 would be an enormous purchase. Could I do it? Sure! I do have the money in the bank. It’s not even “eating ramen for the next few months” money. Although I think it’s be idiotic to spend that kind of money on a computer i dont Need with the economy the way it is right now lol.
like my current desktop cost me about $3k to build and it is more than fine for my needs lol. Hell I thought dumping $500 into a case was audacious![]()

Higher-end cars tend to have larger, wider wheels --> larger, wider, lower-profile tires --> more expensive. What on earth does your car brand have to do with the price of the tires you put on?
Hey....... keep your distance.
Not one person here crying about the price can afford the Macpro in any meaningful manner. Thus the wheel kit is not targeted for your pocket. A lot of people can barely afford an iPhone if it wasn't sold in attractive plans split up in monthly payments spread through 1-2 years.
Same argument works this way;
Why buy LV when Target sells cheap clothes?
Many of you guys don't understand positioning, luxury and branding.
The price hike over the last two generations of Mac Pro has put them out of reach of many that had supported and used the Mac Pro since it was first introduced. The accessory pricing on the latest generation is absurd to the point of being almost offensive. Anyone paying £600 for a set of trolley casters simply has more money than sense. Anyone selling 4 trolley casters for £600 obviously has no idea of providing customers with value for money products.
The same argument can be made about young (predominantly) men who buy a POS car and spend more money than the car cost, on "upgrades".Higher-end cars tend to have larger, wider wheels

So, once more: the car itself has no bearing on the price of the tires. The size and type of wheels on the car have some bearing on the price, but, as it happens, the wheels on cars can be changed.
If you try hard enough you could put skis on there. It's just 5 bolts. Can you put casters on a Mercedes?!
