I oddly don’t have the option of singing up for the upgrade program. Just through Verizon or with payments on the Apple Card. Oh well :(
I saw the option at around 2 pm for me, but when I went to sign up for pre approval the option was gone? I don't know why they would remove it.

I’m waiting for the 12 pro max series I checked my upgrade eligibility status on the Apple store app it to me to a page says getting ready since I didn’t choose anything it didn’t upgrade me right ?

when in November would it be that process I called Apple they don’t know
I was first told I could do “get ready” on the Pro Max. When it didn’t work I asked again and was told “Get Ready program is not available for pro Max at this time “. No idea when. They were just as confused as I was.

This isn't working for me tonight. I have T Mobile as my carrier. I get to the point in the upgrade process where I have to enter my SS# and Citizen One says they can't find my associated loan. Please enter my SS# again. So I do that, still not able to proceed same error message. I talked with Apple, they said call Citizen One. I called Citizen One, and they connected me with Apple. I hung up. Would like to have the pre-approval done so I can order the 12 Pro on Friday. Anyone else having this issue? I am in the US.
For me (pre-approving the renewal of one of my daughter's while I personally wait on the Max) it keeps going back and saying the phone number does not have the right number of characters. It auto formats this field to (xxx) xxx-xxxx, so there is no way to try anything else. I'll retry tomorrow after checking to see if they updated the Apple Store app.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but even though I'm in the iPhone Upgrade Program, they won't let me upgrade because I changed carriers from AT&T to Mint Mobile. There are no options without an active account with one of the big four carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile). Ironically, Mint works off the same network as Verizon and T-Mobile. Not sure how I'm going to resolve this, but I'm none too pleased...

anyone else having issues signing up for this? I got to carrier, and then got a message that I needed to call T-MO. T-Mo said account was a-o-k - spent the next hour with Apple, which ended up with them telling me to contact my carrier...

You can only sign up for the iPhone upgrade program when you activate the phone on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, or Sprint. However, the phone is unlocked and can be put on any other carrier after the fact. But in order to do a new loan on the iPhone Upgrade Program you have to be on one of the main carriers. It’s in the contract you signed when you did it the first time.

It’s stupid and unfortunate. Sorry you’re in that position. If you have an Apple Card, you can still do that monthly payment system. You just won’t have the upgrade option after one year. But with the resale being what it is, you could likely sell that phone and pay off the rest of the balance if you so desire.

Had anyone gotten a response that their iPhone is paid off when it is in fact not? So weird.

Is no one else having issues with selecting 12 Pro Max? If you select 12 Pro, you can proceed with the whole get ready process, HOWEVER, if you choose the 12 Pro Max, it will only give you the option to receive a reminder. Which makes one wonder if this is intentional and has anything to do with that ominous "this device has not been authorized by FCC, and not and may not be offered for sale or lease until authorization is obtained" message at the bottom.

I did the iPhone Payments thing before and liked it and will do it again. Regardless of which option you choose with the 12 Pro Max, your final step is hitting a button to get a reminder. With the 12 Pro, it's "Get Ready for Pre-Order".

What gives?

I'm still on iPhone 6S (I love fingerprint scanner + 2 connectors too much to give them up), my question for Face ID users:

Is using Face ID with a face mask easy? What's your experience?

Still waiting for upgrade program in Canada....5 years later....still getting bent over and screwed by our carriers who force us to take outrageously expensive data plans in order to get “0% financing” through them. 😞😒

I’m still a bit peeved with the delay launch of these answers an iPhone upgrade program. Because since another month is passing they conveniently get to Bill me for another month or two for my 11 pro max until the new one ships and everything I’ve paid up until this point they get to keep :/. Has something been confirmed to the contrary?
I wonder if next year, if the new phones come out in September, will we be able to upgrade when we've only made 10 payments.

I’ve made 13 payments on my 11 Pro Max, I was wondering what would happen if I want to skip this year. Pretty simple answer really, continue to pay off the rest, then I own it and start the upgrade program again next year if I want upgrade. Upgrading now means 2 extra payments (14 months) and having to pay the full amount of sales tax upfront for the 12 Pro Max ($84) then the hassle of a new case / screen protector add $60. Just not enough features this year to make me do that and they will probably be back to the Sept release cycle again next year which would mean having to wait till November to have made 12 payments to be able to upgrade. At least my 11 Pro Max will be covered with AppleCare + for the remainder of the pay off period too.

And if you do a trade-in after the phone is paid off, you can start a new upgrade program plan for significantly cheaper per month.

Wasn’t the X delayed then they moved back to the Sept release?

If I recall correctly the X did come out in October and anyone on the IUP who wanted to upgrade to the XS a year later in September was granted permission even though only 11 payments were made. Probably because Apple didn’t want to penalize for the delay of the X when they were able to figure out that the XS was delivering on time

So if I PAY IN FULL I can't get things ready for a quick checkout???

Seems it's just like the title says "pre-approval" for the Apple Card or Upgrade Program ahead of time.

Hmmmm ... I I just wanted my "Pay In Full" purchase to be all done and ready for a snappy few second checkout at 5:00
