Anyone else seeing this message that they used their accidental damage with Apple care? I definitely haven’t used Apple care at all.....

I was going to skip this round of updates for the first time ever, but the 4-hour longer battery life was just enough to nudge me over.

If you get the green check next to “pre-approval,” does that mean you’ve been approved...? Or just that you submitted the application?

I have monitoring on the big 3 (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) and have yet to see an alert although my preapproval went through. Maybe they use SageStream or one of those other off brand bureaus?

do they even do a real credit check or just validate you have room on the card you'll be processing payments on? I don't think I've ever seen an inquiry from IUP.

My usual grumblings about prepaid plan users being ineligible for iPhone Upgrade...

I had a hard inquiry from Citizens Bank appear on my TransUnion report last October when I jointed IUP. I did not get an inquiry (or at least haven't been notified yet) for the pre-approval today.

I’m fairly certain that only the first or initial inquiry is a hard check and after that they only do a soft check so if you have your credit frozen, it still goes through.

Still running into issues with Verizon even though I’m upgrade eligible via IUP. Any thoughts?

A bit confused on the bottom of the article, if I am paying with Apple Card is there anything I can do now? Or just wait? Pre-approval, pre-order, pre-shipment, pre-chubby....all these pre's are confusing me!

hello my friends,

So today I decided to apply for the iPhone upgrade program. I followed all the steps and I was confident that I’ll be in with no problem because I have a good score of 720. But here is what I got:

There is an issue with your application

Unfortunately, you were not approved for this offer.

Citizens one will send you an email explaining why your application was unsuccessful, along with a phone number to call if you’d like to discuss the status of your application.

======

So what’s going on here? I did not get the email they mentioned. It seems there is something wrong but I noticed they did a hard inquiry on my credit through EQUIFAX.

Did anyone face anything like that?

Thank you

Done. Space Gray. No problems with Verizon.

I wasn't going to upgrade but IUP makes so easy and my payments don't change soooo...

Anyone have issues with Verizon? I keep getting this error. “we are unable to verify your verizon account And complete your iphone approval.”

I’m running into this issue as well with T-Mobile. Mine is on a business account. Not sure if that matters.

Score =! approval odds for new credit.

Same here. I buy five phones at launch every single year. My credit is 770. Maybe the recent Apple Card broke my credit, no idea. Seems busted to me.

Any T-Mobile users here? I’m not have any luck. Keeps telling me to try later. I contacted T-Mobile but they didn’t even know what the iPhone upgrade was.

Apple says the Verizon issue is known and they’re working on it but no ETA. Agh. If anyone has any tips I’d love input!

I guess the apple card is the problem

If the Apple Card is the cause, Apple should work with Citizens One to fix it so that we can upgrade. It’s like a good customer penalty otherwise.

Just got prequalified for iUP. Anyone who has used iUP to upgrade an iPhone for use on T-Mobile, did you have to pay TMo an upgrade fee?
