Anyone know if you can have two phones with one payment. I know you have to submit two separate pre approval applications but can they be linked to the same Apple ID so it would be combined into one payment?

My first pre-approval was denied due to the freeze I have through Equifax, according to the rejection email I received from Citizen’s Bank.

So is this is hard credit inquiry then?!? I really don't need another one to hit especially because of Apple Card. I've never seen it be this way which may make me stay with AT&T Next... ugh!

Finally got the approval done with Tmobile carrier. It seems if you were getting errors like me all day and just leave the phone on the page that gives you the error (where you enter your mobile number and last four) eventually once the system is able to it goes through automatically which is what happened to me. I literally brought the page back up about two hours ago and it automatically processed and I was then able to complete the rest of the process.

It doesn't appear unlike last year that you can actually add the phone to the apple store bag (aka cart) so not sure how it's going to work this year.

Not sure but you can try to make contact with Apple via chat on the iPhone via the apple store. Hopefully they'll have an answer for you as they are not the brightest based on my few interactions with them.

Hi Mike! I’m also on T-Mobile and have been getting errors all day. Do I leave it on the screen with the error message popped up in the middle? Or just the screen where the information is before I’ve hit “Confirm Carrier?” Does that make sense? Thank you so much for your help regardless!

Should we contact apple for that?

I hope more people could confirm that

I called Citizens One. They said since I have 5 iPhones (me, wife, kids) and therefore 5 loans, the upgrades are considered temporary new loans. But a new policy this year is that 5 loans is the maximum. Thus I am being declined my iPhone Upgrade even though my credit is good. I am assuming this new limit of 5 iPhones is to thwart flippers.

So if you happen to have 5 iPhones (maybe that's just me) with the iPhone Upgrade Program - you can't actually upgrade them unless you buy out one contract first. And then you can upgrade them one at a time at the rate that the old phones can be mailed back and approved (in other words, slowly).

The folks at Apple and Citizens One had no real solution - only the buyout one-by-one-upgrade workaround.

I called Apple and they said I could call Apple Corporate to ask for help.

Do any of you know from launches' past, is it better to get the phone shipped to your home (and sending your old phone back to Apple) or if it's better to get it shipped to store?

Going to the store on launch day with a "reservation" to pick up my phone was always a lengthy, boring process. Once they started letting us get our phones shipped to us (iPhone upgrade program) I did that and never looked back. You've got two weeks to send back your old phone now.

On the page where you get the error once you get the error click on the popup then stay on that page. Every so often go back to the page (aka the app store app) so you can see if it's still stuck. It seems to process automatically once it's able to without you having to do anything. I had been trying to submit it over and over for hours and it always failed with the same error until later in the day it just completed on its own. Hope this helps you.
[doublepost=1568298504][/doublepost]Also to those of you on a carrier that supports eSIM you may wish to now switch your line to using eSIM in advance of getting your new iPhone. As this will probably make the whole process possibly easier and faster since there will be no physical SIM card. For Tmobile you can just contact them via chat on the Tmobile App and ask them to switch you, it was a pretty quick process for me about a week ago when i did it.

Anyone still getting an error on the upgrade eligibility check!! I can’t get past that screen. Calling Apple and citizens one, I’m definitely eligible for an upgrade but they can’t get past that error. Help! I don’t want to miss preorder because of an error on apples server side!

What error are you getting and what carrier?

This error: and I’m on T-Mobile

Hmm the error I was getting was a little different for Tmobile "We're sorry, this feature is momentarily unavailable. Please try again later.". Are you certain the phone number and SSN you are entering matches the account you are trying to check? I'm going to assume it does. In that case. I would try going back all the way and or cancelling then trying again. If you get the same error click ok then leave the phone on that screen. Once in a while keep going back to it to see if anything happens. I would not hurt to logn to your Tmo account just to ensure all is well on that end (no past due bill, etc).

Having it shipped home and mailing the phone back was a seamless process. They send you everything you need to handle your business.

Today pre-approval magically worked for me. Sweet action. Thanks Apple.
