Seriously, my question is “why”? Not why didn’t they cancel it, but why did they even design it? Did anyone ask for a sort of large mat to put their devices on? I mean, my charging pads are cheap and all though my house and office. I’ve never once thought I needed a larger version where I can place two devices. I have two separate chargers for that (plugged into the same non  excellent multi usb brick), and it works great. Additionally, I like my  watch Facing up so I can read the time when I tap the desk.

Honestly, why bother with this? The upside was obviously not worth the embarrassment of not pulling such a meh device off

There is a problem with every Qi charger out there - you need to line up the device perfectly to charge. It's not a dealbreaker but anyone who says they've never put their phone on the charger then picked it up later only to find out it didn't charge has got to be lying. No, multi-devices isn't really necessary but multi-points is definitely a huge improvement.

I guess, with no Apple wireless charging solution, this means we can finally resolve the multiple charging port confusion and make the transition to USB-C, right? Since a superior apple Wireless system isn't there? One charging cable? No? Oh, convenience isn't part of the new service paradigm.

hahahhahahahahah, I literally cannot stop laughing.
Airpower - the most overhyped piece of nonsense that Apple never managed to deliver. All the engineering that went to this piece of ..... took away the valuable resources for things that are needed way more.
Their laser focus just didn't work and Tim's pipeline is full of hot air it seems.

Lets see what they do with the Mac Pro at WWDC and Display tech or we might soon wake up to a headline "Apple cancels Mac computers and focuses on iToys and services"

Wireless charging does seem to generate lots of heat. I wonder if this was the main issue?

What does Apple do next,

The only reason they would cancel it if they have something better, or a better tech. Like oasis cota....

I think we may see something interesting in the next 6 months

Multiple chargers, USB bricks, off-brand crap all through the house... lol.... are you even listening to yourself?
