There is never a restocking fee on broken products.

Apple aren't saying it's a software issue.
I'm convinced most people here can't read.
To address the issue, Apple will be issuing a software update "within a few weeks" that will adjust how signal strength bars are calculated and displayed.
You are by far the biggest cry baby I have ever seen on these forums. You really need to man up and stop whining. Uneducated? You have no idea who you are talking to. You need a lesson in logic and reason. Go sell your computer and delete your macrumors account. You shouldn't even be online. Go buy a box of tissues and a dress.
Yes but with clever programing you can visually remove the issue the. It will all lie back on AT&T for already having mad droped calls. Apple is getting thousands of emails a day in regards to this issue they need to give us something. So they make it seem as if it was something simple, like I said if it's not hardware then why with a case one does it not drop signal? Because your fingers Cary electrical signals within them and it's causing the antennas to cross frequencies. I dorm believe apple. They lie all day. Jobs was quoted as saying it isn't even an issue and he has no idea of why customers are talkin about.....
Just wait and see folks, save your mouth-ass turd blabber. If that didn't solve anything, then continue to blab again.
Can't believe it reaches 46 pages of freaking biggest lie ever etc? what the f
Wha...wait!, Are you being serious?
It's not spamming in simple logic it's not fanboyism or trolling or any other geek term. It's just simple logic if you buy a faulty item of any kindnthen return it, stop crying and return it. Some of us are really enjoying our phones and the crying is annoying. Return it get a droid.
If Apple says people aren't happy they can return it and people aren't happy with it - why should they pay .01 let alone 10 percent?
Sorry - spam the board as much as you want with "return it" (something I've alerted the moderators to) - but no one but Apple should be paying for their mistake.
People returning their phones should get 100 percent of what they paid. Why should Apple (ATT is kinda screwed here) get a 10% TIP?
You know little about PR. As someone who's been in the industry for over 20 years - let me assure you. There IS such a thing as negative press. You don't want customers or potential customers BADMOUTHING you.
See how quickly Apple's PR made sure that the email supposedly from Steve was immediately debunked?
Because you signed a contract that says there is a 10% restocking fee.
In this thread you have posted "return it" how many times? That's spamming. It's also against forum rules. You aren't adding anything new to the conversation. You just like to use your "witty" retort.
Who's crying? I'm not. My phone is USABLE. Doesn't mean there's no issue. I have a case on it. I'm keeping mine. But just because it works under certain circumstances and/or I can live with the shortcomings doesn't mean there isn't an inherent problem.
Just tried the following 'deathgrip' tests:
GSM = no loss
GSM + BT = no loss
GSM + BT + WiFi = no loss
Why sue it's a phone what the hell is with all this lawsuits over a phone. Get a life lawsuits are for real issues.
I don't really see how it can just be a misrepresentation of the signal strength if people are reporting dropped calls and data grinding to a halt.
+1 on that answer. I wanted to type but was bored...You know little about PR. As someone who's been in the industry for over 20 years - let me assure you. There IS such a thing as negative press. You don't want customers or potential customers BADMOUTHING you.

I bought a car recently, and spent a lot of money on it.
When I started to drive it regularly, I heard a "popping" noise every now and then coming from the dashboard. When I contacted the dealer, turns out there was an "known" issue with something expanding inside the dash, which would then make a popping noise when pressure was released. Obviously I was upset, so I brought it back, they fixed the issue as best they could, however still to this day every now and then, certain parts of the dash will "creak" or slightly pop when I touch them. It's a lot better, but not completely alleviated.
To avoid this problem, I now simply try not to touch those area's of the dash. Is it ideal? No, but I like the car a lot overall so I decided to keep it. Bringing cars back is very hard to do too, so even if I didn't like it, I'd most likely be screwed into keeping it.
The point? With this iPhone antenna issue you CAN bring the phone back, or you can adjust how you use it if you like the phone a lot. Simple, and non stressful in the grand scheme of things.
Then, don't return the phone.
The phone is fine as it is. You don't even need a case.
By the way guys, did it ever occurred to you that all this publicity good or bad it doesn't matter will eventually skyrocket i4 sales?
Apple has managed something that other companies would die for:
Everyone is talking iphone 4. Free world domination publicity...
Have you read the responses they all say the same thing. Return is the only smart thing that anyone has said. Your complaining about a
Phone that you are keeping how dumb is that?
