While I know people would like full ala cart, I don't think it's unusual for a vendor to group together what they feel are the most popular options and not allow substitutions or removals.

Looks like storage stacks with existing storage.
It also means upgrade from 200 GB to 2 TB will cost the full $9.99. And you’ll have a total of 2.2 TB available
Unlike other services that automatically cancel and get included in Apple One plan, storage doesn’t seem to automatically cancel. I had to manually go in and select “Downgrade” to have it not renew at the end of the term

So, I have Apple Music through Verizon. I don't want to pay for Apple Music as part of the Apple One subscription due to my existing free subscription... Has anyone heard if Apple has a way to handle this?
yeah, you can either continue to enjoy your free subscription from Verizon or pay full price for a bundle from apple. it's not that hard to figure out.

Mine says start free trial, but then says existing subscriptions not eligible for trial. So basically I’m not getting a free trial on a cost basis, just news+, as fitness isn’t out yet (and I’m eligible for 3 months free because of the watch) and my tv+ doesn’t expire until feb. I think I’m better off waiting until February as I’m only paying for music and 2tb iCloud right now.

Exactly right. I think for a lot of us, it's going to be better to wait, since we're on free trials and subscriptions to other services. I love Apple but I don't think they thought this through entirely. Better to pro-rate everything so you're not actually losing value by signing up for Apple One now.

I'm waiting too. And even if I didn't have free trials and subscriptions to consider, I'd still wait because their fitness services isn't up and running yet. (Why would they even introduce the Premier package without it?)

I have gone to my iTunes/Apple Music subscriptions page and to the page in Settings where you adjust your iCloud storage and to the Apple One homepage. I don't see any options to add Apple One on any of them.

Too bad you can't choose between News and Arcade. I have zero interest in Arcade, but a little in News. Right now, I have the annual subscription to Music. That breaks down to $8.25/month. When I start getting charged for TV+, my monthly total, with the 50GB iCloud, will be $14.23/month. So, the individual plan isn't a deal.

I'm so glad we have amazing people like you on this forum to point out obvious answers to Apple's biggest questions. I'm so eager to give up the Apple Music subscription already bundled with my cell phone plan to pay for it as part of the Apple One bundle.

The storage options clearly spell out you can buy up to 2TB more over the 2TB included with Apple One if needed; max of 4TB. Make sure you aren't being double billed.
