lol trade is is insane, they only willing to give 110 for a series 4 black stainless 44.... r u kidding me, last year they gve around 250 for a series 3 to 4 trade in. sorry Apple no way am I doing that

Hey, 110 doesn’t sound too bad. They’d give me 0 for my 8+ because it has some scratches but will happily accept it for recycling - that phone had a price tag of almost 1000 euros two years ago. Talking about ‘iPhone holds its value longer. Every iPhone is engineered with premium materials and built to last’ on the 11’s product page... sorry I wanted to feel that premium materials I payed for instead of some bulky case whilst using it.

If they expect people to use cases on their phones anyway why don’t they simply make them from plastic and cut the price accordingly? No one would see or feel the difference as soon as it’s in a case.

On another note: I was so ready to finally get an Apple Watch with that cellular S5. But no improvements in battery life means I’ll be using my Garmin for another year... :(

Apple Watch steals the show again! I like the direction the AW is heading.

Compelling updates - I have an AW3, but I can't justify the upgrade. I'll keep this one until it dies.

How does the AW steel the show? it's the worst update of everything that was announced. A new low powered display and a compass. Nothing about it being more powerful than the AW 4 and Apple would only giving me $110 for my $750 watch from last year.

Very pleasantly surprised by the new naming of the iPhones and the reduced price of the 11.

They're getting cynical. If you saw the part on the basic iPhone 11 (upgrade to last year's XR), it's clear from the girl's statement that they think $699 is a price for the masses. They have serious issues.

Not a problem, new 44 mm watch bands are interchangeable with older 42 mm bands. When I switched from my old 42 mm series 0 to a new 44 mm series 4, I had several watch bands that I was using with the old series 0 including two SS Milanese loops, and they all fit the series 4 just fine. Likewise, the sport band that came with my 44 mm series 4 fits the older 42 mm series 0 watch just fine (I tested it).

The only difference between the old and new SS milanese loop that I know of is that in the new one is made so that the magnetic end of the strap can pass completely through the lug where the band loops around (i.e that lug can be detached from the rest of the band). Which I guess they did so the series 4 apple watch with a milanese loop on it could be charged on a power mat.

Thanks. I'm kinda torn as my stainless link bracelet has stretched out alot so thinking I should order SS with new one but its hard to drop £1050 on new watch when my series 0 cost me less than £350!

The compare function compares current models. Do you see the Series 4 listed for sale on the site?

All this "I'm not gonna upgrade from my S4" moaning on the site today. If you have a Series 4, you're not really the target audience for the Series 5. Come back next year. For those with older watches, or new customers, the Series 5 is awesome.

Then why can i compare the iPhone 11 Pro Max to the XS Max?

None of the SS models come with the link bracelet anymore, though. Since last year, the stainless steel models only come with either a sport loop or a milanese loop. Apple still sells the link bracelet by itself in both silver and space gray, but it must be the same old band you already have since it's still advertised in 38 or 42 mm sizes, meaning they didn't make new 40 or 44 mm versions of the bracelet link for the series 4 and later models.

You'd better keep your link bracelet because you can still use it with the series 4 and 5 (maybe just remove a couple more links to shorten it)

got myself an hermes watch with the double tour.

i think people going from s0-3 to the s5 will be happy, s4 dont have any reason to upgrade unless AOD was a dying wish of yours

Anyone know if the Apple Watch aluminum gold color is back to a real gold instead of a rose gold?

One-year trial will be tied to your Apple ID as well. No way in hell are they gonna let people get one-year trials every year with yearly device purchase. LOL

*shrug* Apple will make more money from me buying 1 new device every year than they will ever make trying to market that subscription directly.

There are literally 2 mentions of the word Sapphire on this entire page, both referring to the back of the screen.

So... is it listed somewhere else? Maybe. But maybe step down off your Apple Edition Pedestal.

You have to click "order" then select the style you want to check, then scroll to the bottom to see the "Tech Specs"

"Ion-X strengthened glass" for Aluminum
"Sapphire crystal front" for Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Ceramic

It stole the show because as menial as the AW update offered, it was much better than the phone updates.

All day battery life and always on display was something people had been waiting for for many moons.

Any idea if the stainless steel models will eventually be available in a NON-cellular option?

I like the heft of the SS but don't want to pay for cellular.

It’s called the new Apple Watch subscription model...pay $600 a year for a new watch. I know I am being sarcastic but it basically is, if you upgrade each year.

I have pulled the trigger on the 44mm ceramic and ordered it with the Midnight blue sport loop. Took a look at "Whats in the Box" and interestingly the Ceramic used to come with the magnetic charging dock but its not listed. It does come with a white sports band in addition. So two bands rather than one.

Yeah, all day battery life on the iPhones. And we still haven't got it yet. On Apple Watch, however, all day battery life has existed from the first generation (my series 0 lasted about a day and a half when it was new, battery life declined only after two years of use). The only supposed-to-be improvement this year that's related to the battery is that the new always on display supposedly doesn't reduce that all day battery life.

A lot of Apple fans will be disappointed at these actions by Apple. It's not much to ask when you want to compare the last two generations of a product.

Plus you are wrong, customers that buy the previous generation products ARE EXACTLY the customers who will want to buy the next year.

I doubt it. As soon as apple released the first LTE model (series 3), they stopped selling non-cellular models in anything other than aluminum.

Love the always on feature. ...
Selling my 4 lte on ebay and buying the 5 Nike lte... net cost should be 300ish.. well worth it for me .

Not too many people upgrade every year. Plus, anyone who already has a series 4 and wants to upgrade would only upgrade to the series 5 with no doubt, so really there's no need for that comparison.
