Exactly so we just got excited about earlier time which happens but the customs snafu ruined that happening. Not the end of world just wanted my new toy earlier LOL
 
Just got off the phone with UPS, saying that the package is "still in Hong Kong, arrived today (Sept 24)"

Yes! I know it ****ing arrived today in their time. BUT, the notification was made yesterday. Idk if this person even knows that Hong Kong is HOURS ahead of us. Their 7:34am is our (east coast) 7:34pm...
 
And now my shipment release without signature turned back on thats weird. I guess with tentative 9/26 that did not hold and since it was shippers choice I cannot get this to turn off. Well 9/27 is better day I am able to be home the whole time. Given it is a non tentative date probably why apples preferences as shipper came to the front again I guess????

Oh totally - as did I. And I'm still sour that 5 minutes into preorders I got bumped a week.

But I'm also cognizant of the fact that I probably will no longer care the second my backup is restored onto this trifocal monstrosity.

I wouldn’t expect ups customer service to know anything more than what the tracking page says with these shipments. The whole operation is custom.

But the 9/26 date was always tentative til now. My UPS now shows this as well as the text but does not say tentative any longer.... its still the first day of the original promised date range folks. The customs snafu screwed us from earlier dates...

I really can’t be mad at Apple delivering on their expected date. It was always 9/27-10/1.

What I can be annoyed with is how it got to that point in the first place when I (along with most of us) ordered mere seconds after being able to access the Apple Store app.

All that said, the real question is when we’re gonna get this class action lawsuit going?😂

Yes it took me 8 minutes to get in. My iPad got in within 2 minutes but I could not see or access my iUP preapproval stuff. Phone only works, my safari on Mac could not access either the preapproval iUP. So I get in at 8 after and then find as I hit button all of sudden its missing payment info? WTF? Another 2 minutes (it said 9/20 before that) so reenter the card, it is approved quickly but by then I was in this time frame.

I agree we will be happy to soon see our special toy LOL

But maybe its just me, however, the iUP program, preapproval/preorders process is getting worse rather than more efficiient. And so many stores (all 2 or more hours from me) have my phone choice in stock (yesterday). So I do not have choice in my iUP program with no close stores so will be stuck again. I wonder why I put myself through this LOL
 
Like a lot of you, I am also seeing a 9/27 delivery date in UPS Mychoice (with the “tentative” removed). And all I can say is - how DARE they deliver my phone on the first date of the original estimated delivery window instead of a day early? Where do I sign up for that class action lawsuit?!

Yeah I literally put my order in around 9 minutes after the site went live after I double made sure I had all my options selected and because of that I get slammed with a week post launch delay. It's really aggravating

Same. I don't think I'll do iUP next year. I'd rather pay it off and either sell it off to third party or trade it in. And then just buy with Apple Barclaycard that has 0% interest for Apple purchases or with cash. Either way, no more Citizens One (that includes the new iPhone payment plan). And probably no more pre-ordering. Getting it in store even a few days later is faster than this pre-order.

Yeah this is my second preorder iPhone in a row that I got hit with a delay. No more pre-ordered iPhones for me. I'll go to the store day of and get what I want
 
In the same boat as a lot of you.
  • Preordered as soon as the app loaded on the 13th, ended up with a delivery date of 9/17 to 10/1
  • Ship notification 9/21
  • UPS page currently showing it arrived at Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 9/24/19 at 7:32 AM
  • Apple tracking page has an estimated delivery date of 9/30
  • UPS My Choice is showing a delivery date to my home on 9/27

I used my Barclays with Apple Rewards, best thing.

Don't use it outside of apple purchases.

Check to see if they have the "deferred interest" events because you will be charged interest after the first month is up once you make any other purchases.

They usually have the events during:
- Back to School
- Black Friday
- Christmas
 
You don't have to do the upgrade by mail. You can wait for the phone to come out, and then just go to a store and do the exchange there in person. I had ordered a phone on the app and i got the 9/27 delivery window. I went ahead and cancelled that order, just walked into a store and picked one up. Easy as that. I might just do that going forward... it's kind of weird going back to just lining up and getting phones in person lol

Now I don’t have a date, says check back for scheduled delivery. I did have a date of the 27th. 🍎 still says sept. 27-oct. 1st.
