Then leave your bag at home. Or in the trunk of your car. You don’t need it while you’re at work.

If you walk into a store, visit an amusement park, or attend a concert, you’re likely going to be asked to submit to a bag check. On your time. You don’t like it? You want to go home? Fine. You aren’t indispensable.
And when someone dies because they don't have access to medication? No middle manager has a right to an employee's health data.

But on a serious note, the time allotted for bag inspection should be counted for their work hours or they should have been paid additionally since they are extending their stay just to have their bags inspected...

Or what? You’ll sue.

I never got paid me for the time I spent going through TSA, or sitting around the airport waiting for the plane to arrive, or driving back and forth to the airport, or… many other time wasters.

Check your entitlement.

It's employers that shouldn't be so entitled that they demand their employees aren't compensated for their time at work. Also, unless you're counting time working for the TSA, your comparison doesn't make sense.

You’ve heard of pockets, right? If you‘re taking so many medications that you need a bag to carry all of them, a bag search is the least of your concerns.
Wow, where's that entitlement now?

True. Apple has legitimate security concerns. TSA, on the other hand, spends $7 billion a year and has never caught a single terrorist.

And I never got a class-action suit from TSA, either.
Neither can legitimate their boorish practices based on their concerns. Apple sow's distrust and frustration among its employees, and what it's doing is not real security. Why are you so quick to defend the harsh tactics corporations take against their employees?

How would you know they don’t need it?
There could be plenty of reasons why someone would need to bring it inside. I think it’s to broad of a statement to ultimately say “Leave bag in your car, you don’t need it…”

I’d say that’s grounds to raise even more problems by telling an employee they don’t need it, which could easily be challenged. That’s a not a road Apple would likely wouldn’t want to give directives versus maybe a recommendation.

And when someone dies because they don't have access to medication? No middle manager has a right to an employee's health data.

It doesn't even need to reach that level.

Unless Apple expects someone to keep their lunch in their pants pocket, it's ridiculous. If Apple's response is to go eat out, that already violates reasonable accommodations required under employment California law (e.g. allergies to take out food).

Why would a bag check take 10-15 minutes? My daughter worked in retail, and it took seconds whether she was an associate or a manager.

America needs to do something about the glut of law graduates it produces and re-direct these talented brains into something more productive like tech.
These constant "class action law suits" are just a symptom of the need to feed by this over abundance of lawyers the country has.
It must be counter productive surely?

They are not willing to pay high fees/salary for local tech that is why they are outsourcing it in other countries like China where they can get more for less...

The last concert I attended I was treated like a criminal. I think I had to even remove my belt. I’ve not been to a concert since.

Nope, I make and lunch and take it. Again, a company wants to check my back, it’s on their time.

I’ve never had anyone ask to check my bag, I also don’t get paid going to any of those.
