Apple Overhauls Leadership Page With Memoji Avatars for Execs Ahead of World Emoji Day

What in the world makes a billion dollar company go so crazy for emojies, they even put their exec team up on their webpage as cartoon character? please, could someone enlighten me.
Why not ask Satya? Exec team as avatars seems like a Microsoft innovation.

Has Apple decided that their chief customers are people under 30 who waste so much time with this silliness? Why not put the money on something useful, like product testing?

On a sidenote, why did we get skin colors and other ethnicity indicators for emojis? Apple's boss-gallery clearly shows there is no need for it. C'mon Apple. Affirmative action should reach the boardroom level as well...

To me, this is brilliant marketing for memoji and what a clever way of doing it by using the executive list of their avatars.
Subtle marketing, that when done, seems "oh so obvious" and "why not" but is actually a thought out affair.

What’s most ironic about this thread are the people who say emoji’s are for children while acting like overgrown immature children themselves.
They probably put an intern to work on this. It is not that hard. Be realistic. It is not as if an entire wing (ring) of the HQ is working on this around the clock.

This looks hilarious and was probably done by an intern for nothing and yet every other post whines about it being a waste of money.
Memoji was clearly designed for potato heads like Jony - he looks very much alike himself as a Memoji.
Angela on the other hand, as a very handsome woman in reality, looks quite presentable as a Wallace and Grommit universe inhabitant.
