I'd love for Apple Pay or some similar concept to take hold in the market because then I wouldn't have to carry any credit cards around with me!

I see wireless payment terminals everywhere here in Michigan. They were even installed on all the vending machines on my college campus at Western Michigan two years ago. I plan on using the hell out of this. :D

I will. In Australia we are years ahead of the U.S. with NFC and contact less payments, so I am hoping its a no brainer for us..

What about if you get pulled over, or you get carded at a bar? Your drivers license would be where?

I don't think it will be long before we have digital copies of driver licenses. Like think everything will go digital over the next 5-10 years (please note that this is just an opinion and that I am not stating this as fact).

No, you're right. That might be a good idea for the future. Have you ever seen the movie "Idiocracy"? Kind of like the tattoos.

I will be using this for sure!

I currently have a Chase bank account and I was thinking of switching to a Credit Union, but Apples website shows they only support one, the Federal Navy CU.

So I guess I will stick with Chase for a little longer, just to use to the Apple pay.

That is how excited I am to use it. :D

Very excited to start using it. MANY places I shop already have the functionality in place. Bring it on! :)

:apple:

This is my issue. I am very excited to use Apple Pay but I would bet that the NC Credit Union will be five years behind on implementing this. I am actually considering getting an account at one of the gigantic, steal all of my money banks just for this feature.

I just sent the NCSECU a message to ask but I don't hold out a lot of hope either.

Absolutely

After getting an email from my bank on launch day I immediately ordered an iP6 (wish I knew about it sooner so I could have pre-ordered). I've been hit a couple of times with online fraud purchases and don't want to have the inconvience of changing cards again. I sent off an email to my local food store, Wegmans - they will have NFC terminals in all their stores within a couple of weeks. A lot of stores in the area (northeast) already have NFC terminals in place. So I'll be good to go . . . Once the phone arrives.

I'm tired of replacing cards too but I would never trust Apple for anything like this when they can't even get basic things to work right (like the recent Reset bug). If they let major things like this slip by that doesnt exactly build trust, which is what they really need for this to take off.

Or the iCloud hacks. I only trust my bank with cards and money and stuff

Don't think the provision of Apple Pay would be too difficult in the UK. A lot of us already have Contactless credit/debit cards so I think a lot of shops are already equipped to facilitate it.

I have been using the "tap" feature on my CC and Debit card for a while and I carry a small card holder instead of a big wallet so for me I have yet to see the big improvement this will be

I'm happy to modify my usage patterns so that vendors who use it get my money. Sorry guys. No ApplePay no money from me. I have the tap feature on my debit card but have never been able to get it to work at Walgreens.

Everyone has issues even with basic stuff. My gmail was just hacked into last week for the fourth time. Additionally, Target, Chase Bank, PayPal and others have also been hacked recently. No escaping people attempting fraud. At least with a fingerprint it's alot harder to do.

No one will use it if it's US only. :)

Like people who use US only CC and debit cards.

I have a credit union that is on the slower end of the spectrum too. I always e-mail them about features I want them to adopt, because the more member feedback, the better. It took them a little over two years to make an app, but they've been really good about updating it. I've already emailed about TouchID and Apple Pay, and I plan to follow up in person soon. Because I and many other members were victims of the recent information hacking events, I figure we have more leverage to push the board forward now.

I love my credit union, but it is a pain in times like this.

I know I'm excited to use this feature. I have seen a few of my friends get stung by credit card theft. So I can not wait to use it.

I'm VERY excited! I found out that my bank "capital one 360" has signed on as a bank that will be part of apple pay. I am so sorry of having my debit card replaced every 3 months as it has been comprised.

WOO HOO!

I might try it out, but for actual use it has to support:

-More groceries (Safeway, Costco, Trader Joes)
-More restaurants/fast food
