chase business doesn't work.

Mine did. Is the billing address for your card different than the one you set as default? Mine are all the same. I haven't tried the corp card that was issued by one of my clients with a different address though.

good news, the op just bought me a new retina imac,
other things to note is that it seems it has to go through the card carriers agreement and verification steps.. so I'm just wondering if they haven't all been turned on or activated.

Mine don't work either. None of my debit or credit cards from Target or USAA work. I would have thought a debit card from any bank would work since it is a debit card, but nope.

Great job Apple! /s

1) Since this isn't simply cloning the card, but attaching your device to the account like a secondary "card", the issuing bank needs to be involved.
2) USAA has said they will be launching in early November (7th I believe). I'm stuck waiting for them as well.

Only my Citi issued card is able to work with Apple Pay.

My Ally MC debit card, Capital One MC, Chase Amazon Visa, and Discover (already expected this one) don't work.

I won't even bother trying my MC-issued commuter benefits card.

I was able to get 4 credit cards to work Chase, Citi Amex. I try to maximize rewards points so I have some cards that pay high percentage back for groceries and gas, another for restaurants, etc. The one I use the most often, which hs 2% cash back for everything, isn't compatible. Bummer. :(

My Capital One Master card worked fine. I had to type in the numbers though.

Good info. Thank you.

Got a Biz Amex, regular Amex and a Chase card in. Gotta hold off on Barclay but that is coming soon and I never use it anymore.

More a question of where will take it.

Can you expand on what needs to be done for Bank of America?

with chase and capital one, I only had to use my existing credentials that they have on file, whereas with BofA they only had 1 option, which is to call an 800-number. And this 800-number is a live rep so it's a bit more cumbersome in my opinion

I guess having a few credit cards paid off. All 3 of my credit cards are supported (American Express Blue, Bank of America VISA Debit, Chase Sapphire VISA).

I expected American Express to be automatically configured, as it is already tied to Apple ID. But it didn't.

Chase Sapphire has weird credit card design and I had to enter the numbers and date manually.

Interestingly enough, each required verification directly from the bank, email for Amex and Chase (although Chase offered phone verification option as well) and phone only from Bank of America (and talking to a real live person).

American Express seems to be the best overall, which lists recent transactions as well.

As others have found, different banks (BofA) require a phone call where as others (AMEX) just sent a text with PIN number for set up. The BofA had just a few phone menu choices to enable activation with the final step being a CSR who validated the Security Code, Exp Date and Card details. Seems to really depend on the card provider. The easiest ones are those that support Text authentication.

BofA did not require any verification for me. Do they have the phone number of your iPhone on file? Apple sends it to the bank when you register the card, so the bank can verify your device based on that.

My Chase Amazon Visa is the only card I use so I'm disappointed.

Would this be Amazon's decision on any level? I figured it was Chase so I'd be good. Bah.

I guess I missed the part where they stated that only the new iPads could use Apple Pay inside of apps. My iPad Mini Retina appears to be SOL.
