Apple hasn't been this obsessed with an artist since U2.
I went through several OS reinstalls trying to make Big Sur work on my unsupported Mac. That U2 album was there to greet me in the end. When the Sun explodes, and aliens find our remains, they will know us as U2 because that'll be the only information left intact.

Uh oh. The Macrumors Boomers are out in full force in this post.

Really though, are you guys trying to be funny? She’s been on countless magazine covers and she won multiple Grammys. If you haven’t heard of her fine, but don’t insult her. She’s clearly proven she’s of worth.

Son, please use that term loud and often. Us boomers have earned our position and we wear it as a badge of honor.

Boomer here. We're not supposed to like your music...or it defeats the purpose. 'Twas ever thus.
If my parents liked lyrics from rock songs of the 60s on up, I would have been pissed.

Eilish is OK, I guess, in small doses for me. (Nobody asked for sure)

Rough comment thread. Really not worth spending time/energy hating on the cultures you’re disconnected from; life is so very finite, focus on the things you love, say things of substance/wisdom if they’re critical.

I happen to quite enjoy Billie’s music and am looking forward to this documentary. :)

That's unnecessary to say to/about anyone with depression; and doubly so when talking about a teenager. Just dismissing people like that is never nice.

No need to be an ******* just because you don't like their work. 🤷
I wasn't dismissive. I simply stated fact. If you don't like facts, that is your problem.

Facts

1) She curses a lot (including music)
2) She suffers from depression

I didn't disparage her about depression or make light of it in any way. Save your chiding for someone who did the things you accused me of.

Why is it that people like to brag about not knowing someone? Is there some kind of compliment we should give people that don't know who they are? Do you think we all look at you like your life must be so fulfilling and busy that you don't have time to be aware of this perceived nonsense? And then to top it off, you bag on her/him because of your 60 second introduction that you bothered to click an article and read more of rather than move on.

No, the problem is you chose to label her has such to a basic question of "who is she." If we all chose to label people in such a manner, one could only imagine the labels you'd receive on here. Stating something as 'fact' doesn't make it appropriate.

Meh I don’t care. She’s very sleepy and depressing. We need new thunderously entertaining people like Freddie Mercury. Those larger than life characters don’t exist anymore and I’m trying hard to find them honest.

Lady GaGa, The Weeknd and maybe Bruno Mars are the only two I can think of with that larger then life presence currently.
