I wasn't dismissive. I simply stated fact. If you don't like facts, that is your problem.

Facts

1) She curses a lot (including music)
2) She suffers from depression

I didn't disparage her about depression or make light of it in any way. Save your chiding for someone who did the things you accused me of.
Just because you're ignorant to what you did that doesn't mean that you didn't do it.

You don't do a short introduction to someone by unnecessarily going straight to that they're a kid with depression. You don't do that to a teenager. You don't do that to someone with depression.

It's dismissing, it's rude, and it is one of those things that can be that last drop that make them not have the strength to carry on; and NO, you don't get a free pass because she's rich and famous, because she's still a teenager struggling with depression, and you should know better.

I wasn't dismissive of her depression. She openly talks about it in the documentary and has talked about it a lot elsewhere, as well as doing commercials.

I did nothing wrong and I refuse to take your guilt trip ride because you may have taken my comments personal.

I am not explaining myself anymore about this. I am done.

Pretty much applies to most artists just sayin'. You make it sound like she's the only one. 😆 In that case let me correct what you're trying to say.

Facts

1) She curses a lot (including music)
2) She suffers from depression
3) She's female
4) She's a teenager
5) She has a brother also a musician
6) She writes all her songs
7) She recorded No Time to Die theme music

I am ok with occasional cursing in a song. A lot of the music I have to hear second hand today is often filled with hateful curse filled invectives and that I don't like.
That's subjective there are many of her tracks without curses maybe I was listening to radio version but no where near as frequent as Rap music. ha!

Gotta fact check you here—While Ms. Eilish does curse in interviews she uses almost none in her lyrics.

She also promotes a lot of positive messages for young women including mental health issues as well as healthy body image.

All of this while dealing with growing up in the public spotlight while dealing with depression and managing her Tourette’s.

Her music may not be for everyone, but she is undeniably talented. And from a parent’s POV she puts out more good than not.

… why? People that are interested in this already know about it, and people who aren’t won’t care to watch anyway.
This feels like the music promoter version of the wavy ballon dudes you see out front of the trash used car dealership.

Why is it that people like to brag about not knowing someone? Is there some kind of compliment we should give people that don't know who they are? Do you think we all look at you like your life must be so fulfilling and busy that you don't have time to be aware of this perceived nonsense? And then to top it off, you bag on her/him because of your 60 second introduction that you bothered to click an article and read more of rather than move on.
Prideful ignorance. It's an American thing.

Uh oh. The Macrumors Boomers are out in full force in this post.

Really though, are you guys trying to be funny? She’s been on countless magazine covers and she won multiple Grammys. If you haven’t heard of her fine, but don’t insult her. She’s clearly proven she’s of worth.

magazine covers? and you are calling people boomers. i haven't seen a magazine in over 10 years.

What is this ‘magazine cover’?

Clearly I'm old. I have no clue who she is.
I know a girl like her. American. 18 years old. Stoned and on medical drugs since I guess 12 years old. Her ex bf a drug dealer, tattoo-ed all over even the face, she's well on the way to plastering herself with ink too. Her hair's always green or blue or pink. She's super depressed. No future generation. Literally. With oceans failing due to overfishing we look at the extinction of the human species (and most other species too, look up Holocene Extinction) in the year 2050, give or take 5, that's 30 years from now. The industry noticed that these kind of kids make up a big segment of the market and delivered Billie Eilish, cashing in $$$ by the 100 millions. It's quite artsy though, the psychopaths monetising the demented.

Billie Eilish songs are all the same! Her voice is soft, very narrow range and kind of mumbled in her performance. The music industry has decided to make her a top artist and acclaim how great she is (WOKE/SJW) but in reality it not that much of a singer/performer. The big music bosses even got them (her brother is her songwriter) to write and performance the new Bond theme song. I kind of smile when I hear her on the top 100 music list and pop music radio.

My goodness what is wrong with some of you people. If her music and this documentary are not your cup of tea then by all means don’t listen or watch.

Is it really worth your time to make a comment professing your displeasure or lack of knowledge of her as if any of us care what you think? It’s music/art and to each their own. It’s as if it’s a personal affront to you somehow. Please do us all a favor and use your energy/time in a more positive fashion. Yeesh, no place on the internet is safe from needless negativity it seems.

Really, Who gives a sh ! other than 12 yr old girls.
Green hair Billy, LOL.
Well considering she’s sold over 17 million of her debut album and smashed at least 14 records and done things no other artist in music history has done,I’d say quite a few people might care. Also, her brother is insanely talented. He wrote all the songs, recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the album in his bedroom with her.

great trivia question no one you ask will know. Billie Eilish is only the second artist to sweep the 4 major Grammy awards, who was the first?

First off, the chances she will ever read any of these messages is incredibly slim. Doesn't make it a good idea to berate someone for having depression but that's not what was being done here... Secondly, this is the internet and the world of fame after all so if someone opens up about these sorts of things there will be plenty of discussion about it either positive or negative. If she were that afraid of being raked over the coals about this she wouldn't have shared it. But she's not. Wear yourself and it is the inevitable.

It is amazing that we are getting a documentary for a 17 year old kid and yet somehow we dont have a documentary for some incredible people that walk in this world and who have dedicated their lives to way more interesting and serious causes…the worst offense will be… as always… that this 17year old kid will have to preach about some social/political issue… as if a 17year kid has something of relevance to say about any such matters during her “long and arduous” life on this planet, as if she had the tine, the experiences, to even engage in such discussions, much less to be able to preach to the entire world…

And also her whispering suicide music simply sucks and is absolutely baffling to me that she ended up a thing. But hey, we live in some pretty crazy times… where the Kardashians are considered a role model for youngsters, so i should know better really…
