I wonder how long it will take before Samsung, Google, and others come out with their high end AR / VR goggles? I guess it will depend on how successful the AVP is?

I imagine they are prototyping models to fit in the price and feature gaps between the Quest 3 and the Vision Pro for the potential mass market where manufacturing economies of scale and profitability intersect.

I know many said this about iPads (and Apple proved us wrong), but I don't see this taking off with the general public. Super expensive and too many hoops to jump through to get this to work properly.
I don't see it selling well either. The market, as it is, is just not there. Microsoft just discontinued their VR setup and will be taking the support of it out of Windows. They tried big time, and it didn't sell. The Vision Pro is more sophisticated it's true but I don't think that matters much.

The question is - how many people would be willing to pay Apple-level pricing for a non-Apple branded VR headset, especially one that won’t have the same degree of ecosystem integration and support?
