Why are they going to release a GM for 8.4? They didn't for 8.1, 8.2, or 8.3. How do we know beta 4 isn't the GM?

I don't think they'd release two betas at once, And I think an iOS 9 beta is more likely.

I think iOS 9 Beta 2 will be released sometime in the future, but not in the past. You heard it here first.

They might release GM prior to next week in order to work out any remaining bugs I'm assuming prior to the big release next week.

It'd make sense to release 8.4 a week early so people can update and be ready to start using Apple Music, given how important it seems to them. And for those who aren't interested, it gives their devices a couple of days to download the update and make them reconsider ;)

I need beta 2. My 6 Plus's battery is begging for it.
Well yeah battery is horrible in beta 1. That's why apple recommends not to install beta software on your primary devices. I also want to test iOS 9 on my 6 Plus. But I decided to test it on my iPod touch 5th gen instead.

Yeah, not all of us have pockets that deep. If I weren't targeting my app for iOS 9, I'd jump down to iOS 8.4 in a heartbeat.

Surprise! BGR was wrong again!
I wish MacRumors would adopt CanonRumors/NikonRumors-style credibility rating (CR), where 1 is from weak sources (e.g., BGR, Gene Munster) and 3 from strong sources (e.g., Mark Gurman).

With the BGR beta release date estimates, MacRumors usually adds a little note in the article that effectively says "they're probably wrong, but we'll see." I guess they forgot this time.

Does no one know what "Later today" means? The article was posted at 11AM EST. Later today doesn't mean in a couple hours or they would have waited and just posted at 1PM EST that its out. Apple's released betas as late as 7PM EST

What's funny is that this article is put together in a way to make BGR sound like a reliable source. Usually when the source is inconsistent, Macrumors would put a note of that. But none of that here.

The only sources that are consistently accurate are 9to5mac and Re/code.
