I really hope he isn't 19!! It would make sense if he was 13.

If you're acting like that as a 19 year old, you seriously lack any real prospects in life.

as an ex-apple employee, yes that is very true. 1) apple keeps a close eye on everything. let alone posting to a rumors site confirming features in a BETA, yeah, stupid (if you do work for apple). 2)people have gotten fired for posting "secrets" online.

Just don't buy that. Let alone, an apple employee running a dev beta... not cool. A decent LOF who sees an employee showcase non-public software and "confirm" features/release dates, will be in the job seeker role in no time.

Hahaha, yeah, not buying that, if you really were an AAPL employee with such knowledge you'd be packing your bags and getting the resume ready - not responding to your own other posts asking questions about iOS beta features (if you know the beta release date, why wouldn't you already know about feature specs? ;) )!

Imagine troll trying to use the old macrumors ;P

Trolls aside; someone who can't work a web forum would never be employed at Apple in any sort of capacity that would entitle them to have any access to the betas!

HR? maybe. iOS team? Dream on ;)

Sometimes it's just fun to play along though for the sake of it!

We could get Taylor to write a letter

Here we go: Taylor and indie musicians are writing a letter to Apple. ;)

Why would MacRumors even report something from such a proven unreliable source? I've seen forum members with more accurate guessing. Why doesn't MacRumors report them?

This kind of reporting is discrediting... It's better to just leave it alone unless it's from a credible source... Because after all... Your reputation is on the line as well.

Apple plans to seed iOS 8.4 Golden Master (GM), which has historically been release candidate software, to registered developers today ahead of the Apple Music launch on June 30, reports BGR. iOS 9 beta 2 is also reportedly scheduled for release today, although it is possible that the release date is pushed back by one week to next Monday, June 29.

The iOS 8.4 GM will succeed iOS 8.4 beta 4 and will most likely be the final pre-release version before the software update is publicly released. Apple Music for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch requires iOS 8.4, so the update should be released for all users within the next eight days, with the new streaming music service built into the revamped stock Music app.

Apple Music was announced earlier this month as an all-in-one streaming music service, live global radio station and social platform for artists to connect with fans. The subscription-based service will cost $9.99 per month after a three-month free trial for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC. Apple TV and Android versions of the service will be available in the fall.

Yup, twitter account also reeks of fan boi telling tall tales about "working in there iOS Development Department" (sic).

Read his bio...the poor soul can't even spell properly. Sorry bro, but you live a lie. Surely you would know the difference between "There" and "Their" if you worked at Apple.

It's a rumours site...not journalism.

Sigh...I miss the old Macrumors audience. We used to have fun with bullsh#t stories...we even made them up to add fuel to the fire. Now, people get outraged if a rumour is inaccurate. lol.

Actually BGR has a fairy accurate track record when it comes to iOS release dates, including beta. It's not perfect but it has been pretty good over the years.

Doesn't quite seem like that's the case. At least no better than educated guessing that many can do.

Does no one know what "Later today" means? The article was posted at 11AM EST. Later today doesn't mean in a couple hours or they would have waited and just posted at 1PM EST that its out. Apple's released betas as late as 7PM EST
I heard it should be by the end of tonight from a good source
Yeah, in Apple's true fashion they will release it right before midnight as they usually do these kinds of things. /s

As someone who knows people that have interned at Apple... they don't have an iOS Department. lmfao The departments as he puts it are actually related to smaller categories... For instance: Calendars, Messages, and Reminders is a department. They also have a frameworks group, etc... This guy doesn't know what he's talking about, he's just looking for attention.
