great

I love this ad, and the other recent one about taking photos/video with iPhone.

Very very real, human ads. Music choice is phenomenal. Camera shots are great. It doesn't feel staged, these seem like glimpses of life we all have every day.

Really, two of the best Apple ads there have ever been, IMHO -- and I'm 35 and have been a user of this company's products for 30 years.

I don't like the voice, and I don't really like it when Apple makes these kinds of discretely aggressive ads, but the ad is pretty good overall. It's true that the iPhone is an exceptional music listening device even though they portray mostly hipsters listening to (probably bad) music on it.

iPhone Ad said:
"Everyday, more people enjoy their music on the iPhone than any other phone."

I'm curious to see what evidence/data Apple has to support this assertion, especially when there are more Android phones in circulation.

I guess this would be true if Apple's referring to specific phone models and not phones based on OS.

Hipsters? what in the world?

Yes, the ad said iPhone, not iOS.

Yes, hipsters are bad people who listen to bad music only. I bet you know many hipsters. They're all the same anyway.

0:17 - Subtle response to Samsung's recent ads

Guy in the shower deliberately wipes his hand on a towel before touching his phone. A direct but tactful response to Samsung's latest ad at 0:26 that demonstrates the hover over your phone to use it thing:

Nice one.

Yawn, I could go jogging and listen to music on my phone in 2005.

For me, these kind of ads are getting a little boring. They're sometimes bordering on satirical SNL skits. Like we're supposed to feel loyal and appreciative of our iPhones when we watch ads with piano reminiscent of the We Bought A Zoo soundtrack and introspective iPhone users.

I'm hoping for great things from Apple in 2013.

Apple have lost their edge with advertising

Apple's adds used to be amazing. The last few I thought, were bordering on bad.

As I was watching this one I kept thinking: "why did they do that?", "that doesn't work" & "they could've done that better".

Who ever is approving the adds now, should be changed.

When I was in DARE in 6th grade, we learned the major advertising techniques that sellers of alcohol would use to try to get us to drink.

These new ads are the most textbook versions of what DARE called bandwagon-advertising, i.e., "everyone else is doing it."

The ads might be better without the tagline, as I'm not sure how much people really want to do what everyone else is doing.

I can't remember all the other advertising techniques; though, one was using celebrities, which Apple has also done recently.

I like ones that are a little less obvious in technique.

Doing what everyone else does is what people equate with normal. The opposite of normal is weird. So if you think about it what you said doesn't make sense.

It is creating a feeling with the product, that is the root of why people buy what they buy to experience a feeling.

When samsung release Ad they tell a story which is not accurate.
Apple actually show reality facts. great ad

I thought it was an iPod ad...
:rolleyes::D

apple old apple...

I have an idea for the next ad...

the phone people charge most every day...:D

I find the lack of imagination @apple disturbing...
