Some serious updates ahead! Slow, but steady progression. This whole iPhone platform turned into something bigger than I ever imagined...

Please... iPhone improvements are already in my HTC Hero. People Please. ALL OF THEM since my G1. If you don't know how to use your Android Phone just ask me. I mean, Apple obviously took all Android's ideas and implemented it on the iPhone. Well Done Apple. BOOOOOO.

Multitasking - Android: Done
iAds - Android: Done (without games)
Folders - Android: Done
Network Gaming - Android: Done
and the list go on and on...

Sorry. I'm an Apple fan since Mac OS 7, but let's get real about this. Android brought all of this first.

Another person here having trouble watching it. The quicktime stream gives that error message and downloading it, it won't play past the Pandora guy.

What About Hardware!

Ok, great, OS 4.0 is coming out sometime in the near future, of course they don't tell us exactly when, but what about the 4th gen Iphone? Come on Steve.

I wonder what his closet looks like? I think I am going to start wearing the same thing every day.

I wish I were rich enough to pull it off - the minimalist fashion routine sounds oddly liberating.

Unfortunately I'm not rich enough to be considered eccentric. People would just view me as a tacky bum.

:(

Folks, let me tell you a true story.

Apple got started by selling legitimate COMPUTERS. Now don't ban me for lying! Look it up in the history books.

It's a far cry from this phone company and this iToy company that Apple has become.

I hate to say this but congratulations Microsoft, you have won.

BTW I tried viewing this video in QuickTime X and it doesn't work for me at least. BRILLIANT!

Oh well what do you expect from just a phone and a toy company anyway?

Actually, according to some history books, Apple's two founders got their start selling audio equipment for phone calls of which the use of the phone company probably did not consider very legitimate.

I dont think I have ever gotten all the way through a video on itunes or the website without something going wrong. it's pretty sad really but I overlook it.

Just one thing, you should go tell that to the shareholders from a decade ago who held Apple stock and made over 200 a share since its at 240 right now. You're an idiot my friend, these things have a lot of legitimate uses, and as long as they don't put the Mac platform on the backburner too much they'll be just fine going forward. Isn't it funny though, that Microsoft can't even make a better OS for any platform, like Windows Mobile or 7 for the PC. What exactly has Microsoft won? Yes they lead the computer OS game, but more people are switching to Macs all the time, and since Apple makes so much $ off the hardware too, it doesn't even matter...hence the shareholders are rich and everyone except Google is jealous of the crazy success.

Edit: One addition...I agree that the computers seem to have been put behind the phone and the iPad. But it's just because these are still rapidly growing markets, and in the case of the iPad, a brand new market (widespread tablet use that is...I know tablets have been around). There is nothing revolutionary going on with computers right now, and by the huge popularity of their mobile devices, I'm sure people have been tempted to switch computing devices. I bought an iPhone and loved it back in 07, and decided to try out OS X in an Apple Store and now I'm typing this on a MacBook Pro.

What do you want? Every time something is put out by Apple people find a way to destroy it with almost no merit. Windows doesn't even have anything new to destroy, or if they do, it's usually too late to the game and isn't even worth insulting. Apple is a master at hype, and this may annoy some people, but how else do they get people on the fence to buy products? It's not like everyone is browsing forums like this and knows what they're doing and what they want/need.

How in the world do you figure Microsoft Won? What world do you live in. Apple has a completely different kind of product base than Microsoft.

And no issues with the Keynote for me. Worked like a charm on my iPad in the browser as well.

I understand. You possess no form of logic.

I'm an idiot? Just look at your screename.

Anyway, there's the new i5 and i7 processors that Apple needs to put into all of their computers if Apple wants to content at all in this field anymore. Some computers have bigger hard drives and more memory too.

Actually, according to some history books, Apple's two founders got their start selling audio equipment for phone calls of which the use of the phone company probably did not consider very legitimate.

They didn't start Apple this way. They started Apple by making and selling computers. In 1977, Apple II was pretty good computer at the time.

Yeah I know, old habits die hard...I've used this screen name for everything since I was like 9. And I'm a believer in second chances, hard to give up on your idol since it seems he's trying to be a better person. But back to topic, that's why there are rumors of new laptops soon, and the Pros should be updated sometime shortly as well. I know the tech specs of the hardware aren't necessarily better than any other brand, but the way they package it in a good looking body with OS X is enough for me to drop a couple hundred extra for a 4-5 year investment.

Edit: And I got a little carried away by calling you an idiot, but being a finance major right now I've grown to appreciate how Apple has managed to make so many investors happy at the same time as the much larger number of consumers they've made happy over the last decade. Essentially it was you saying that Microsoft had won something that pushed me over the edge. No hard feelings, not trying to be a complete loser by talking **** on a Mac forum.

Damned graphics and mice!

Yep, Apple hasn't made a serious computer since '93 when they discontinued the Apple II. Microsoft is the same - everyone has jumped on the GUI train and abandoned serious computing for iToys...

iAd & Multitaking

I love my iPhone totally it's brilliant and has to be without a doubt the best phone I've ever owned.

But, all this chatter about how great it's going to be that we'll be having MT on the iphone. For Christ's Sake Apple I had MT on my T-Mobile MDA FOUR YEARS AGO!!!!!!! ML should be old hat by now so what the hell has taken so long?

And despite of loving my iPhone and me otherwise being a devoted Apple user, my iPhone is more than likely going to be my last. Why? Bloody iAd!!!!

I don't want to have to plough through some bleeding Ad when I just want to use an app. There's plenty of other smart phones out there now so for me it's time to move on.

Oh, and in the words of Bill Hicks.......what do the letters U.S.A. stand for? United States of Advertising
