Can't wait to hear how Ive will explain that you'll need two hands to operate such a big phone. How will he bs his way out of it?

Many people with bigger hands like myself look forward to a larger iPhone.
I am 6'0" and this is my hand with my iPhone.

Our product is already better in terms of performance and our next step is to go bigger to attract Andriod users which we know if we build it, they will come.

And by the way we did release two different iPhone models last year.

:apple:

Apple did release 2 different iPhones but not 2 new iPhones. The iPhone 5c is basically a plastic iPhone 5. Nothing special about that. If Apple released a metal 3G would you consider that a new product?
And you're right about the performance. The speed of the iPhone 5s was never an issue and same can be said about the iPhone 5. The problem is that the iPhone never gets pushed hard enough to respect it. To me the iPhone 5s is king of the paper benchmarks. But after awhile the 64bit and extra speed feels like a gimmick because so few apps are noticeable in real world situations. It may became apparent later on but I want to notice a different today especially if I upgrade on a yearly basis.

I really am thinking about switching back from my Note 3, but I hate to lose all the extra memory. One could easily take up the majority of their phone with apps, especially if you get the 16gb. I will get my wife one and then I guess I will decide.

I am one that is hoping there is a 5.5 inch display. If IT exists I'm all in for a 64gb model. If there isn't there is going to be a lot of disappointed folks

That iPhone looks ridiculous in your hand. Give this man a 6 inch iPhone. Forget 4.7 or 5.5 inches. Judging by your hand size I hope you don't wear skinny jeans and size 9 shoes.

Guess I'm one of the few that will not buy the 5.5" iphone. Not interested in a pocket tv.

Nope, just 32x32 Levi's 505s and size 13 wide shoes. :)

I wonder how they are distributing this 70-80 million unit output between the 4.7 and 5.5 models.

Hopefully they do a better job in estimating consumer demand than when the 5c and 5s came out.

I would guess 70/30, 4.7" being the 70.

Probably by speaking the truth.. "Not everyone cares about using their phone one handed."

Kinda how I'm not interested in a small child's toy. ;)

Rumors

First, WSJ is not always accurate.
Second, based on this article its a production failure? Usually wrong.
Third, they are ordering 120 million because of failure rate. Come on , give me a break,,,,,

Thats why they call it MacRumors....50% correct and 50% made up.....

70 to 80 million at launch time. That is about 1% of all the people alive. We really live in a different world.

I'll be getting the 4.7" iPhone. I prefer portability and discreetness.

So now Apple will sell four phone sizes? The 4S, the 5C (presumably), the 6 - 4.7, and the 6 - 5.5.

The 4s? I hope they stop selling that, It's embarrassingly obsolete

As if Apple is obligated to feed the insatiable appetite of people who criticize their every move. Why mention one-handed use in the first place? Every company advertises the positive aspects of their product; a bigger iPhone 6 will be advertised differently than a smaller iPhone 4S or 5.

I understand that, but they purposely made a big deal out of it with the 4'' iPhone 5 because the competition already had 5+'' phones. They were like ''yeah, the iPhone 5 isn't huge because we still want you to be able to use it with one hand''.

Now the 5,5'' iPhone (IF it arrives) will be even bigger because of touch ID and the top part of the phone which they want to be the same size as the lower.

Because of this, they'll forget the whole story of using a phone with one hand because it's simply impossible to reach the higher parts of the screen with a normal sized hand.

Wow, you really need a bigger phone. :p And I'm okay with that. It'll be just funny how they turn it around, making it sound like it's suddenly okay to use a phone with two hands.

Thats just it you know, I find their way of advertising a bit funny. I'm okay with more choices, they should have added different screen sizes years ago. So everyone could buy something they wanted and no one would/could complain. That's what the competition is doing better, giving you more choices. Although they do try to too much and just throw **** at the wall and see if it sticks.

I wonder if Apple is gonna forecast this correctly. I think the demand for the 4.7 and 5.5 should be pretty balanced, unless somehow the average customer sees the 5.5 as the 'high-end' model. If that's the case, then they should probably make more of the 5.5. Maybe the keynote and their website promoting the two sizes will give us hints as to how they forecasted the demand.

My only criticism with my Note 3 (or any Samsung product in general) is the lack of timely updates. When Android L gets released it could be weeks or a few months. But otherwise the screen is great, the processor is fast, 3gigs of ram, S-pen option, I got 3 batteries total, a 64gig sd card and I love the IR port.
To help me with my crack flashing obsession I got a cheap Nexus 7 2013 tablet from eBay for $130 shipped a few days ago and it has crazy rom support. You have the ability to run multiple custom roms from internal memory and usb drives. I think that I will keep my Note 3 for another year and just stick to Nexus tablets. Or wait and see what Apple does with the retina mini this fall but I'm not paying $400.

Now that is some news. Yes we've heard it before. But I think this is a larger number and the WSJ is a more reputable source. Lets show some nice sales for the last quarter, get a nice bounce, and then watch this stock shoot past 100.

Apple is going to realize they should have just done the 10 to 1 stock split. Boy they really are cautious guys when it comes to corporate finance matters. Should have done those stock buy backs in even bigger numbers as well.

It will go past 100 usd probably within 2 weeks if everything goes nice

First time I would agree with a comment like this. I personally will not be buying a iPhone 6 because I still think the Note 3 hardware will be better and I love Android. But many people are not like me and all they ever wanted was a larger iPhone. So sales are going to be through the roof for Apple. My guess is that stocks are going to be around $130 to $180 by October.
Don't hate because I love my Note 3. Just understand that people have different preferences. I actually want Apple to survive and not end up like Blackberry, Microsoft (phone wise) or Nokia.

I've been a successful trader since I was 16 and I agree. My guess is 130USD by november and 180USD during 2015 without international conflicts

That's not going to be enough. I'm ordering 90 million myself, don't know how long I'll have to wait.
