It did. For me at least. Can't wait for the fix. Driving me nuts.

Not entirely untrue. Although it was nice to get directions on Maps on my MacBook on Saturday, then effortlessly send them to my iPhone.

Does the Mail app issue also happens when using Yahoo e-mail or is it just using GMail? I am preparing to update to Mavericks but will wait for the update to come out first.

An iTunes fix would also be welcome. I don't know what happened with the last iTunes update but I've never experienced more freezes and beach balls. 5s syncing takes an eternity.
All was fine before 10.9 and the iTunes update.

Apple is yet to specify to employees what the new Safari version entails, but is labeled as version 7.0.1. The slight version number increase indicates that this is a bug-fix and performance-focused release, not a new version with several new features.

I can give you one fix: Remembering session cookies, so you don't have to re-login for every page-load. I "discovered" this bug this morning, and subsequently spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why my webapp wasn't working, until I tried Firefox. Quitting Safari fixed the issue too.

Let's hope that the issues with efi partitions, firewire drive sleep, WD and possibly other drive data loss are resolved also.

Any word on a fix for Mid-2011 MBA battery issues? Sometimes it'll show 30% battery life and then 5 minutes later be down to 12% then a minute later it's shutdown.

I don't know if it's necessarily a calculation issue as my battery has gone from lasting 4 hours with regular use (with a full charge) down to maybe 2 hours since the new OS.

If you have a multi-monitor setup, you're missing out on that huge improvement. Other than that, probably not much, IMO.

My first experience with a multi-monitor setup since Windows was on Lion... It was more baffling than frustrating.

"Why would anyone think that graying out every other display in fullscreen was even close to a good idea?"

What about iTunes with iPhoto and not finishing?

I apologize but I actually can't figure out what you mean by that.

Unless you mean it's not finished, like they need to put it back in the oven.

Would Like

I would like:
Working Shut Down
Force Quit like before (the last one to go instead of the first when you shut down/restart)
Something to manage icons and their programs on the top right (keeping them but being able to shut them down one by one)

I haven't upgraded to Mavericks yet as my iMac is limited to Lion, but I just upgraded Safari to 6.1. I hope the new update improves Bookmarks as 6.1 reduced functionality and usability.

That's exactly how a defective/failed battery behaves and isn't reflective of how the OS is working in other users' computers.

They should fix iTunes! After installing Mavericks iTunes freezes for about 30 seconds all the time...sllloooooowwww

Something to manage icons and their programs on the top right (keeping them but being able to shut them down one by one)

I assume by icons you mean the ones in the Menu Bar? If you hold Command you can click and drag them off of the menu bar (except for 3rd party ones, which usually have something analogous to a "quit" button).

Unless I'm misunderstanding for which I apologize.

We’re on Mavericks, using the native email client with Gmail and not experiencing anything funky as far as I can tell (in fact, it’s running great). However, both of my main Gmail accounts are Business App accounts (not freebie consumer grade accounts - domain named, biz accounts).

To be honest, I haven’t read too many details about specific usage issues, I just know I’m getting mail in real-time (and I get a pile of mail daily...), no issues with sorting/searching, attachments, etc.

My Remote Desktop is running _great_, much faster (as in, much less latency), not sure if it’s improvement in the Mavs networking, display subsystem, but I haven’t run into any bugs.

Safari uses A LOT of RAM. More than it ever has in the past. At least for me. Hopefully this fixes it.

Safari NTLM

Hopefully they'll be fixing Safari's completely broken NTLM authentication!

Sites which use NTLM don't prompt for a username and password and instead just sit there 'loading' a blank page.

hmmmm. Possibly coincidental then. Thanks for the heads-up.

My next question would be: Since there are multiple batteries handled by a controller, could a single battery failure cause such a systemic issue?

2fa

I just hope they will add 2-Factor Authentication support to the Mails app.

iTunes Radio?

Does Mavericks have iTunes Radio like iOS 7? If not, it may be a while before I upgrade. I have my iPhone transmitting Radio to my home stereo, but it keeps stopping after a half hour or so.

Apple Preparing Bug Fix Updates to Mail, iBooks, Safari and Remote Desktop

They need to fix the pile-of-poo that is iTunes 11.1.2 first, I can no longer sync any iPhone/iPad on Windows, and I gather Mavericks users have similar issues (as well as having lost key functionality)

Yes, the new iTunes has iTunes radio. Just set it up with favorite artists and such. I didn't have mine for some time because it was disabled in my preferences.

As another iTunes note, I have been using iTunes a lot over the last week+ and have had no issues whatsoever with it. I have been adding songs, adding artwork, listening for hours at a time with no issues that I perceive. I did a clean install of Mavericks if that matters. I also was using it for windows and had no issues syncing with iPod classic.

Now as for Safari, I will be happy to have an update with bug fixes. Version 7 feels snappier... but I demand Snappier-er!

I haven't gone over to Mavericks yet. Am I missing anything productive wise?

It depends on what you mean with "productive-wise".

I need none of the features touted in Mavericks, so I'm happily chugging along with ML.

Just 'cause it's "free" does not mean you should upgrade now.:D
