Something must be wrong with me..

I'm more excited about this event then I was on Christmas Eve. I wish I could be there.

<crosses fingers>iPhone OS 4.0 w/ multitasking please </crosses fingers>

Apple controls the leaks. The packaging, the advertising and everything else has already been done. This stuff is obviously strategic. Hell, you have to train the folks in China how to pack your new stuff in the boxes. It's a huge expensive, logistical process. Really, these things are years in development.
I can't wait. But if a tablet is released, I'm getting the 2nd generation.

San Fran

It was awesome to be for the first time in San Francisco, attending WWDC and going to Yerba Buena. Jealous for those who will be there this time.

While I'm sure the tablet will be quite the device, I really couldn't care less about it. I have a perfectly good MacBook that I'm very happy with. What I'm looking forward to is the announcement of the next iPhone OS - one that hopefully bridges the gap between the current OS and the wonderful things that the jailbreaking community has delivered.

i would laugh so hard if after so many rumors and news they release nothing but iphone os 4.0 LOL

Yes, and their latest creation is an iPhone update.

Yay! I can now read NY Times, Sports Illustrated, textbooks on the iPhone...oh wait

Media Event Schedule Conflicts

What amazes me is the number of companies that schedule corporate events on the same day as an Apple event.

I just received an invite to a marketing-related webinar which overlays the Apple event by 30 minutes. Who in their right mind would be foolish enough do such a thing?

Oh, yes... for the record, I am one of those crazy fanboys who will be buying whatever it is Steve announces on Wednesday, whatever the price. :^)

I can't keep spending money on gadgets... The wife will kill me. (Anyway, its her turn next, she wants an iPhone......) I've told her to wait for now.

Kinda off topic you know how so many pc useres are like Macs are over priced and under powered how under powered are they I wouldn't think much... And I'm going to be replaceing my old mbp for a new one if they release a new i5 pro will that battery life suck ? Should I just get the current one?

hmm

So Apple rents out the whole center 3 days before the event? Must be expensive.

It is for renting a place, but Apple gets every penny back when Apple gets free PR from the press and increase hype about the iProducts, so the money they spend on the event are gonna come back within a week of launch of the new product. So its a win win.:apple:
