Beat me to it...

Colored iPad anyone?

- iPad2 available in six delicious candy colors.
- iWork2 featuring Keynote2 with Keynote Remote and BT remote ability**
- iOS5 now with the ability to actually save files and use that BT mic you would have assumed you could for the last several years (maybe we'll get around to enabling that on iPod Touches one of these years too).

** Sorry, our Keynote for iPad team actually used the app for the first time last week, and we decided remote control was needed. Not sure how we missed that one for the initial release or the last few updates. We promise to test our software before release next time!

All those dots.......what if they were not dots, but spots......as in 'Spotify' ?

I completely made that up but there were some rumours about an acquisition a few months back. Besides they have got to be using that data centre for something........

How many hours to go till the event kicks off? And any streams to see it live?

The dots are the traditional colors of Easter.

Did anyone notice the retina glass effect on the apple logo?

I have no idea what the traditional colours of Easter may be, but why would that have any bearing on the Apple event?
Especially since Easter isn't until 22nd April 2011.

Or perhaps that was just another joke post and I need more coffee…
:)

I just noticed they're using the first "retina display" background we saw when they announced the iPhone 4.

Actually that's not a bad observation, I hope you are onto something there!

Yes, yes they did.

the colorful dots remind me of the ipad 1 event, last january.

Big blurry blobs of paint then, small sharp spots of paint now. -> Retina display on iPad 2 ?

Well, one can only hope a retina display is for real. Because, if they don't implement it on this device now it's just a shame.

Definitely worth the upgrade alone. But a dual core a9 and more ram would make it a seriously good device.

I definitely think it will be a much higher resolution screen but not retina.

finally a paint program for Mac!!!

there have been paint programs out for "Mac" and the iStuff for quite a while.

Apple is teaming up with Wonder Bread to make toast on a touch screen. That's about as innovative as Apple is atm. Pick it up, engineers.

its finally time for xoom to do what is being named to do Xoom outta here, before the it gets slaughtered by the originater and master of the Tablets

:apple:

I'm thinking the 'dots' hint at a camera (or two).

Just google: "out of focus" and or "bokeh", both are photographic terms.

The article mentioned not tying in with the invitation... but I think it does.

Apologies if this has already been said, but the apple logo, (black with that shininess to it), looks very similar to the one you'd find on the back of an iPad

- showing that it's gonna be about that, a second generation iPad.

This has been said many times already. That background is the stock wallpaper for iOS 4.2, even on the iPad. While I wish it indicated something, it doesn't.
