Apple sure could use a third screen size option of some kind. The iPhone X had Pro features, a 5.8-inch screen, and was bought by over 100 million customers. Apple should bring that size back since the standard iPhone is rumored to balloon to 6.3 inches next year.

Except it isn't that simple. They didn't necessarily want the 12 or 13 mini because of the screen size. They didn't want it because they prioritized battery life and/or pro features like Promotion or Camera's more and frankly the mini's were not a great value unless you specifically wanted the smaller screen. I would gladly pay even more for a smaller screen option, but I know I'm in the minority.

As your number one priority:
  • If you wanted the best battery life - you don't get a mini
  • If you want the best screen/refresh - you don't get a mini
  • If you want the best camera's - you don't get a mini
  • If you want the best materials - you don't get a mini
  • If you want the best most affordable - you don't get a mini
The "I'd pay more for less if it fits my exact needs" is not a sentiment shared by the average mainstream consumer.

Value for the average consumer, whether buying a budget or high-end device, is getting as much perceived quantity and quality per dollar as possible.

The mainstream consumer wants as many of the "big numbers" and bells and whistle as they budget allows for.

iPhone mini could only have sold well if sold for far less than the regular 6.1" mid-tier iPhone.

Giving it Pro specs but keeping the 5.4 display size still wouldn't give it the battery size of the 6.1" Pro, but it would have to sell for between $799-$999.

I don't see that selling any better as the $799 6.1" mid-tier would be cheaper with better battery life and a bigger display (which most want), and the $999 6.1" Pro would have both a better display and a bigger battery than the mini Pro.

iPhone mini can't win in Apple's current 3 tiered line-up. It would only succeed in a 1 or 2 model iPhone lineup.

We are probably not that many as other posters hint to, but we’re passionate about it, so it sounds like that. Hopefully Apple will make flip and fold phones ahead that can be a good replacement to the Mini in a few years. My Mini is as good as new so I can wait.

I just want a standard iMac with a larger than 24” display and more ports. Don’t need pro power.

Eventually we’ll see a larger (28”-30”) iMac that will have an Mx Pro option.

If, you need a more powerful desktop, you’ll need to get a Mac Studio.

Apple Car...

Apple Car is way off still… They will not release it until all the necessary regulations are in place and they’ve thoroughly tested it. However, I still believe Apple’s ambition in this space is to build a ride hail service, rather than target consumers directly… at least at first.

MicroLed Display Apple Watches sound amazing, but I'm not a fan of the bigger screen size, think the current Ultra Screens are big enough. Do any tech products out in the market actually have microled displays? I'm guessing Samsung is probably gearing up to bring the technology to their products soon enough because Apple is getting close.

A few:
  • AirPro Pods with Lightning Connectors
  • Apple iHeat Pro lithium ion powered space heater
  • iCar
  • iFlush Pro toilet
  • iThink Pro neural implant
  • iPhone 27

Everyone in MR: “Give us an iMac Pro!”

Apple: “Here you go, minimum specs start at $6000. Place your orders now.”

Everyone in MR: slowly backing away.
Yup, back before they released the new Mac Pro, I was considering getting one before they released it, but as soon as it released and I saw the prices... Nope. They priced the consumer right out of it entirely.

A Pro mini would never happen.By the time they had fitted a 3 lens Pro camera and added the 120hz display into it there would be hardly any room left for a decent sized battery in the device. The battery life would be absolutely horrible, unacceptable for a Pro device.
I would argue that the Mini should just go back to one good camera like the older iPhones. For most people that is good enough and I think people would rather they prioritize battery life with that space. At least I would.

Unlike the larger iPhones, I bet the Mini could be thicker and still feel good in the hand.

When I got my iPhone 14 a lot of people were surprised and asked me why I didn’t get the 14 Pro or Pro Max for the camera. Why? Why pay a lot extra for something I use periodically while the standard unit well suits my needs?

I would buy a 32" 6K Studio display if it worked with my M1 Studio Ultras.

Not expecting to see a foldable device from Apple in the near future. A bigger iMac will be good but that too will not be happening soon.

The simple fact is that far more millions prefer larger screens than small.Poor sales of the 12 & 13 mini proved that.
It's a question of tradeoffs.

I've got a 15 pro max, but I would prefer a 15 pro mini. If the mini had the same camera, that is.

Yes... all of these are valid points. My sole reason for picking the mini is its size.
  • If you want to be able to reach all corners of the phone with your thumb you either get a mini or SE.
  • If you want the phone to fit in your pocket you get a mini or SE
  • If you think the phone area should prioritise display instead of last millenium buttons you're left with the mini
