I wish I could just buy that black/neon yellow band. Would be neat if the box came with a code you could put in to unlock the Nike software. As it stands now, it's unfortunate that we must buy an inferior aluminum model to get the special band and software.

The fact that you need to buy a Nike "version" of the watch, which has identical hardware components, to use the Nike software is utterly outrageous.

Your lack of understanding is similarly outrageous. You will be able to use the Nike software on any watch. The only things specific to the Nike version are the special Watch faces with quick links to the app in the form of complications.

Why does the website say there is a complication with this device? I tweeted apple about this long ago when it used to say permanent complication and they just removed the word permanent. Uhhh?

"There’s also a complication for launching the Nike+ Run Club app."

The long answer can be found here. The short answer: in watchmaking, a "complication" is the term used for anything on a mechanical watch beyond telling you the hour and minute. Examples are the second hand, calendar, moon phase, alarms, etc.

What Apple is saying here is that there is a button or something on the watch face for launching the Nike+ Run Club app.

The changes extend into the software of the Apple Watch Nike+ as well, as Nike has designed special software for the Nike+, which is designed to motivate runners to stay active.
I would think a runner is motivated to stay active by definition ;)

Anyway, please Appleclause, I'd like a new 13" Macbook Pro with DIMM slots. I promise (to try) to be real good all year.

After years of R&D they scientifically discovered that putting holes in a material allows more air through which will help with sweating during periods of activity. All while making it easier to clean or rinse of when dirty. Quite useful![/QUOTE]

Yes, big contract for ANTCONN !
It just took a long time to train Chinese ants (American ants wanted too much money and OSHA assurances) to hold the tiny brushes and learn how to paint the inside of the holes green. (Or white)
Currently in training are ants for rose gold and space grey)

So far no ant suicides have been reported due to safety nets, although there living quarters are quite cramped.

i really don't like those bands. ill just get the black aluminum one with gray band, not this nike "thing"

Im slightly interested in the air pods to see how they preform.

where is my macbook?

Classic MacRumors first post, where the user posts some mini Quip stating something about the MacBook, which has no correlation to the article and is frivolous in translation. Useless.

Back on topic, the Nike Watch will likely do well. I think it will be a constrained product through the Holidays, as is the other Series 2 Watches.

42mm Apple Watch Nike+ just confirmed by email for delivery in the UK on 28th October.... Whoop whoop!

If the Apple Watch app will work as 'good' as re-designed Nike+ running app on iPhone, then they'll have more returns than sold units.

The Nike apps are available on all models. It's the watch faces and bands that are exclusive to the Nike watch.

I'm very tempted, I will pull the trigger as a good excuse to upgrade from my gold aluminum 1. And as a runner it looks nice.

Yeah, I've not heard much good about the app, people are not happy with the major overhaul that occurred with the app recently.
The pics show a map on it on the watch. That's not a feature. Mine shows no map whatsoever. It just counts distance. Then I get a weird starburst in the app on the phone rather than a map.
[doublepost=1476469795][/doublepost]Just contacted Nike. Maps are not part of the Watch app yet even though the photos displaying the app show a map. No timetable when this absolutely necessary aspect of the map will be included.

It's basically unusable, crashes on the watch on every run.

I would hazard a guess that the AirPods will also be released on October 28 (That's about as "Late October" as you can get). That would make sense -- get your Nike Watch and a pair of AirPods to go with them.

I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!

I hear you. And that's if we're lucky. Apple isn't offering ore-orders, so this date could slide even later.

From my perspective Apple totally botched the removal of the headphone jack by delaying critical accessories this long ...

Of course this is just a guess, but I'm thinking there will be something later this month.
I'd love to see all new MBP's but if not, then maybe a quiet online announcement of a new larger 14" Macbook?

I say this because right now going into the holiday season, what does Apple have?
Just new Apple Watches and iPhone 7. Everything other product is dated old stock (which is really sad).

I'm all for new macs it's just that if they get released now with outdated internals, they are not going to update it 3-4 months later with the new intel chips so we're gonna be stuck on an outdated cycle. I'm going to buy a new mac as soon as they are released I just don't want to buy something new that's actually outdated upon release.

I am also leaning towards this. Seems unlikely that new macs will arrive in October. But I need a new iMac badly, preferably with the Polaris GPU...SSD as standard. Otherwise I'll have to build a Hackintosh, but I'm old....

I want a new MacBook but I badly need to replace my 7+ year old Mac mini and I too thought about a hackintosh.
