It's called currency exchange rate. Look it up.
It's called massive margins and greed. Don't try and patronise me.

Hello,
but for France... WTF !!![]()
$1299 US = 1202 € at today's rate and Apple charge 1449 € ! it's 200€ more than before.

I understand Apple. I've been working with them for 14+ years.Well, then you just don't understand currency exchange.
Well, as long as it's done legally, its the fault of your tax system.
What about when the Aussie dollar was at 1.09 to the U.S. Dollar?

And ??
As you can see the rate didn't change overnight, it has slowly drop during a year.
With a price tag at 1449, it means that Apple is going to earn $1565 US instead of $1299 in the US and don't tell me it's because of the taxes because everybody knows they don't pay any taxes !
People just can't seem to understand what it means when the value of euro(or AU or whatever) drops by 30% in 6 months. 30% is basically the profit. It's almost like Apple is selling stuff in Europe without profit unless they raise the prices.
Oh, and don't worry, you'll see companies like Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc raise their own prices very soon.
LOL. Corporate apologists come in all shapes and sizes. Next we're going to hear that the free market will magically solve all of these disparities.
What are you smoking(?), because I want some. Apple is selling stuff in Europe without profit, eh? What you mean to say us that their 75%+ margins are getting eaten into slightly, so the prices need to increase.
Not rise in UK?
What I don't understand is why only the macbooks got more expensive? The iphone cost the same here in Germany, I'm not complaining that it didn't get more expensiveI'm just trying to make some sense out of this

They can't not pay VAT on physical products, it's corporate taxes they don't pay.
Yeah, but how do that explain the sudden price hike everywhere outside US? All countries suddenly raised their DUTIES, TARIFFS, IMPORT TAXES?
Apple products were never cheap in Europe, but they are becoming luxury products. I can afford them but it is just becoming non-sense. 650€ for the base Apple Watch SS, 699€ for the base iPhone, 1029€ for the base MacBook Air 11", 1499€ for the base MacBook Pro retina as well as the new MacBook. It's just too much, in a country that has a minimum wage of 590€.
