I did my part today. I just subscribed to The Alton Browncast. This is the first time I have ever really used podcasts. Great show by the way.

Wish they would fix the podcast app. It either crashes or causes other apps to crash. Using downcast now. There a lots of EDM podcasts.

I would use Podcasts but when I had it installed on iOS 7 and I had to log into a wifi network it would bring me to the podcasts app...

How come a lot of the ones suggested in the library are "podfaded", where they've not posted a new episode for over six months. Even happy tree friends have post one this year, back in May.

Congrats on getting 1 Billion Subscriptions Apple, but the recommended list leaves much to be desired.
A lot of the ones recommended are from large services, The BBC and The Guardian, there is little indication of Indies, like http://musicpodcasting.org . There are for more interesting ones out there if you just look.

What is interesting to you may be boring to me. "What is interesting" is purely subjective. Apple's list is appealing to the broadest common denominator. In other words, Podcasts that would likely appeal to the widest audience, and may bore you to death. ;)

I just unsubbed from a podcast. Please change the headline to say "999,999,999 subscriptions." :D

Granted, I'm certainly willing to take that on board, there's a podcast subject on everything now, and some shows might float your boat, when it does not float mine.

However, Apple are recommending podcasts which are no longer actually being produced, or very, very rarely. Maybe they need to review more podcasts and see which ones are up to date and produce top quality content, not just the "usual suspects" like radio stations and newspapers. Only my opinion.

I'll get my coat.

Podcast App SUCKS!

Too bad they "broke" the podcasting feature with that wretched, flaky app! Need to find an alternative.

No thanks to the WORST APP EVER the "pocast" app.

Which will single handedly drive me away from iPhone forever.

Wonder how long Apple will have really any degree of enthusiasm for pod casting considering (as far as I know) they don't make any money from it.

Everything that gives Apple a competitive advantage is making money. Apple didn't make any money from iOS 3, iOS 4, iOS 5, iOS 6, and they won't make any money from iOS 7. But it makes more sales of devices.

Can tech companies please stop over-using the "sunshine cresting Earth" image? Apple, Samsung, Google, Motorola, and HTC have ALL used that image within the last year or so. I don't know why it bothers me...but it does.

You and me both. Subscribe to a few and the Apple App is still broken/buggy. Ugh.

And my biggest gripe is whatever they did to change or move them over completely messed up syncing podcasts to my PC.

I don't currently have internet where I live, but do at my work. So I'll update my podcasts and then sync them all to my PC when I get home. Well since they released the podcasts app, that's something I avoid doing now.

When I sync my phone to my PC, it replaces ALL the ones on my phone with the ones on my PC. So any new ones I downloaded get listed as played and then I have to manually go in and re-download them from my phone.

Forget....

iBooks and the legal mess. This one technology, the ability or capacity of authoring material is awesome. Hope that Apple have many things like this in the pipeline.....:D
