****** movie… dont lose 3.5 hours of your precious time. Dont get me wrong, I love Scorcese movies (Casino, Wolf of Wall street), but this one in fact is a total loss of a time like The Irishman was...

For some reason Scorcese cant get it right recently… and this is very unfortunate

All very well deserved!! Phenomenal film.

I keep seeing the poster for Killers of the Flower Moon, but it's not grabbing me. Gives me the impression that it's a slow burn, which is not my preferred style of movie. But I've been wrong before. Sometimes I've ignored a movie for weeks only to discover later that it was fantastic!

I’m an art film fan, but this movie was difficult for me. I hated that a story that should have focused all its power on the exploited Osage instead became a vehicle for Deniro & DiCaprio.

I haven't seen it yet because i have the same feeling long and boring. Oppenheimer was terrible.
I thought I must be crazy when I tried watching Oppenheimer and i completely hated it because of how boring it was

I envy those that can sit through that three hour movie, and actually be entertained

I'm reading this as I was about to watch it later tonight. I've been on the fence on whether or not to commit 3+ hours on this.

DeNiro and Lily Gladstone received acting nominations, so I"m hoping the acting is least good.
Same. Was intrigued, but will probably hold off now. I hate wasting my time on bad movies.

Hmmm hadn’t really thought of it like that but I can see it. Along a similar train of thought, I read the book nearly last yr-ish and was like Scorsese’s going to have it like casino showing how filthy rich these natives lived, these “whales like Ichikawa” lol

I was like this movie is gonna be so fiya, but alas , it was way toned down in that regard, as some are saying, a slow burn yeah, but it’s good.

Thing is, the film made a mountain of money and is very well made. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t have gotten nods for best director and best actress. It’s a blatant and sadly typical move by the academy, which seems to be composed of clueless octogenarians.
Glossy popcorn movies can have good acting but usually only get nominated for score, special effects, costume, etc

Killers of the Flower Moon was the second most boring film I have seen all year, right after Oppenheimer. Good grief was this a slog. Somewhere in there was an interesting story, but it just never came to the surface. I'm sure many other people feel the same way, but they feel like they're supposed to like it since it's a Martin Scorsese film with a-list actors.
curious what movies do you like? are you a super hero movie guy?

That might be the issue.
