I usually end up watching the best picture winners and nominees eventually.. and they are usually amazing films I wouldn't have otherwise watched. My top winners of the past few years 2015 Moonlight (wasn't what I expected at all), 2019 Parasite (!!! watch it if you haven't), 2022 Everything Everywhere All at Once.. I watched that one on a plane to London. Then I watched it again at home. Then I watched it again. Best multiverse movie.

Killers of the Flower Moon was the second most boring film I have seen all year, right after Oppenheimer. Good grief was this a slog. Somewhere in there was an interesting story, but it just never came to the surface. I'm sure many other people feel the same way, but they feel like they're supposed to like it since it's a Martin Scorsese film with a-list actors.
Stick to Michael Bay films ;)

Killers of the Flower Moon was great but Oppenheimer was a masterpiece.

I stopped watching the Oscars when it became a platform for people to talk about politics. Nothing irks me more than when millionaires who live in fantasy land get up on stage and start telling the general public how to live their life. I just can't stomach it.

Haven't got around to killers of the flower moon, it's run time is a bit daunting and I want to watch it more or less in one go as it was intended.

But Napoleon was a huge miss, just regrettable, all those resources and effort into something really lacking in several ways.

I dont really care who wins , but Oppenheimer is not a theater movie as they sold it to us with the IMAX stuff , it had 1 scene that leveraged the big screen and that's it , what a let down to watch in a theater , I was really shocked to be honest , acting was good but the story was not interesting as we knew whats going on and what will happen , I was there for the IMAX experience , which was ****.

killers of the flower moon long and boring. They just hype these movies because of who directs them or who star in them

Tim will make sure Apple TV+ is a winner later this year with another price hike.
They’re all having price hikes. We’ve just had our first price hike on Apple One Premier by 15% in Australia.
Plus Netflix has gone up, YouTube Premium has gone up, Kayo (fox sports) has gone up.

No film needs to be that long. What was so complicated about the story that needed 3.5hrs? There was no “oh wow” moment in it. Everything as expected. The most interesting part was the beginning learning about Indian tribe and the basic setup. Then it just was just really drawn out.

Cinematography was very good though.

It faced immense criticism at the start, but what’s never been clearer now is that TV+ was absolutely the right move to make in 2019.

Why should Apple dedicate time and resources to Apple TV+ when consumers have other video streaming options in the marketplace? People asked.

The answer is the Vision Pro. Apple is not dependent on other platforms to supply it with content. Even if Netflix and YouTube won’t play ball, Apple will at least still have almost five year’s worth of content available at launch, some of which is already optimised for viewing on the Vision Pro, and we can expect to see more along the way.

There are many more lessons to be learnt from Apple, if one has the heart for the truth and the will to see it.

Isn't saying "Apple received Academy Award nominations" as disingenuous as "Odeon Cinemas received Academy Award nominations". They are not the studio, not even the producers; they are barely co-distributors.

It is Apple Studio. They started the Apple Studio Production Company in 2019.

Thanks, i felt the same with Oppenheimer and was really annoyed with the Trailer like music & cuts. I haven’t seen The Killers of the Flower Moon yet.

Did you like The Irishmen?

It was one of the most boring movings and I hope this one doesn’t feel the same…
