As per the article 3 iPhone X models. What’s the 3 models? I thought it was only 2 models, one black and the other silver.

The word "heavily" is probably not accurate, but I'm betting Apple could sell 25 million on opening weekend if it had that many available.

See I have no idea that this is true, and no reason to believe that it is based on past numbers.

There have been some crazy numbers floated about potential pre-orders. The only real indicator we'll have is how quickly delivery dates ship beyond the 3rd come pre-order time.

Personally, I think it will take hours for launch day delivery to sell out, unless a huge chunk of inventory is reserved for instore distribution channels, which is unlikely.

Don't buy iPhone X guys wait for next year's model. It will have way better FaceID just look at how much difference in speed comparing TouchID first gen to second gen.

That’s what I’m doing I got a 8 plus to hold me over until then. The X could use improvements hopefully next year they take a bigger leap

Don't know why but every Apple hater is saying this one they are gonna get finally. Its gonna be huge.

Apple today received approval from the United States Federal Communications Commission for its upcoming iPhone X models, meaning the devices have passed all of the requisite tests and are cleared for sale.

Since the iPhone X was introduced, Apple's iPhone X product pages have included the following footnote noting that FCC approval had yet to be obtained:The FCC must approve all radio-transmitting devices before they are able to be legally sold in the United States, including all iPhones. The FCC's program is designed to ensure that RF devices in the United States "operate effectively," do not cause harmful interference, meet human RF exposure limits, and comply with other FCC rules.

Three iPhone X models have been approved for sale by the FCC, so Apple will now be able to remove that wording from the iPhone X site. FCC approval for the iPhone X comes just over three weeks ahead of when Apple will accept pre-orders for the device.

iPhone X pre-orders will start on Friday, October 27 ahead of an official launch date on November 3.

Supplies of the iPhone X are expected to be heavily constrained due to production issues with the TrueDepth camera used for facial recognition, so the device is likely to be hard to come by for the remainder of 2017 and into the early months of 2018.

3 models?

The space grey, the white/silver, and the rumored copper color or is it the 64 and 256 of one color and the 64 of the other?
I don't think different colours are counted as different models at the FCC. Probably different radio versions, maybe some Intel/Qualcom split.

Stupid question here - can you only preorder the phone through Apple or can you preorder with a carrier as well?

I would NEVER spend £1000 on a device with a 12 month warranty.
Truely shocking that apple thinks they can get away with this

UK

• Google Pixel 2 2 year warranty.
• One plus 5 2 year warranty.
• Samsung S8 2 year warranty.
• Samsung note 8 2 year warranty.

• ALL iphones 1 year warranty.

shame on you apple, put your money where your mouth is and offer standard 2 year Warranty....

Most iPhone users(excluding accidental damage, that’s on you) probably won’t need a warranty, every iPhone I’ve had worked great.

Androids however...
