My HomePod always refers to my wife as "Secondary Six" when she interacts with it. For the record, her name is Heather. Anybody else seen this behavior?
This is possibly one of the funniest things I’ve read in ages. Just the absurdity of it.

On topic: I’ve seldom had issues with my HomePod, bought it on release and, ok Siri is a bit dopey, but I’m just generally using it to set timers when cooking, play music or tell me the latest news / weather.

got a HomePod mini to connect with my Apple TV a week ago. It seemed a bit fickle after initial set up but has been solid pretty much even staying connected as default audio for Apple TV.

I can never tell much difference with the software updates personally and most of the requests are learned language I don’t have time for.

on the whole I love them.

It's looking more and more like there is no impending Apple TV update coming tomorrow. Hear a rumor that it was something in Max. Don't know what that means, but we'll see.
maybe its an iPhone Mini-Max

Unlike many here, I've had no connectivity issues with Homepod -- neither internet nor Airplay. Had a number of Home-related and personal request problems in iOS 13.x, but those seem long gone. The only problems left for me are that Siri just doesn't understand what I say many times. Often when I ask for something to be played, it defaults to some random Hip-hop song. I'm not here to hate on hip-hop, but wtf? And when I want to "turn off ceiling 2" or 3, it always says "Ok the ceiling 4 is off." <sigh>

Heck, even on my iPhone I say "message Andy" and I get "what to you want to say to Randy Smith?" The Siri text bubble even says "Andy"!! AAAARGH!

Just an Atmos update.

I goto the Disney+ app, with a FULL 5.1.2 system that has/does Atmos, I goto Mandalorian latest episode, and shows DD|Vision}Atmos logo. Plays great the Presence speakers firing. I switch to HomePods (Stereo Pair), kill all apps, restart. I goto Disney+ still shows DD|Vision}Atmos logo, watch the whole epsiode for the 5th time
;)
. When the episode is over I goto the "splash screen" for Mandalorian and shows DD|Vision|5.1

SUCKS... I heve heard and seen that in the TV+ app it shows/works but... Hoepfully it's just the Disney+ app. BUT here is something, the 5.1 with a HomePod on the Left and Rght sides of me?!? Sound insanely good so...

Just would be nice if they would show Atmos in Disney+ with HomePods chosen, cause supposedly Atmos was the 14.2 feature!

Laters...

My experience has been frustratingly the same, especially when invoking Siri on HomePod to send a message. I usually end up just sending the message from my phone.

Has anyone else noticed the grammar issues in Siri responses? Asking her to turn on the Dining room lights, and her response is Ok, the light are on..

I am hoping this fix clears that up..
So annoying! I hope they fix it 🤞

Am hoping this fixes the stereo pair issues where it will randomly switch to only playing from one of them, then back for 30 seconds, repeatedly. Also with it losing connection to the internet, despite being 10 feet from the wifi router, that’s running wifi 6 and only has 4 devices connected to it 😕

I’ve noticed that on Apple TV, they now show “Auto, Atmos available” instead of just Auto under audio options, making it clearer that Atmos is supported through the homepods.

I have no idea what all that rambling even means. Makes no sense.

My software update is stuck on "Downloading ..." anyone else seeing this problem?

I’m having these exact problems and my stereo pair are just 2 feet away from my modem and router. 😡🤬
