Well I got the first email but not the second and sales department is closed. bummer guess I'll have to wait a few hours more.
How far apart where the two email, time wise?
They were both stamped 6:44 pm US Central Time. Maybe check your spam folder to see if the one you're missing didn't get bounced in there accidentally.
I wouldn't think so either. However, many computers are used for web surfing, typing up articles, email, documents. If you're doing media editing, you'll need a laptop. However, unless your school does primarily that, then a CB will suffice, and the savings are significant. I have no doubt that schools can afford them and do buy them, but unfortunately, more schools than not are in a budget crunch.Doesn't seem like this is in the same "segment" of education to me. Are there Chrome equivalents of Final Cut and LogicAnd would you want to run any of these pro media apps on that hardware (i.e. Chromebooks) , much less the software?
Coming soon. Now that Intel has released CPUs worth upgrading-to.Real macs...Mac Pro minis and iMac.
Or how about USD$50,000 for WebObjects?!? Believe it or not, that's what it was when first offered in the mid 1990s...Ain't that the truth!
People should be salivating over this. This is an absolutely incredible deal. 200 dollars for those Apps... It simply can't be beat. I remember paying 1000 Dollars -- ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! -- just for Final Cut Pro waaaaaay back in the day.
Anybody complaining about this deal simply doesn't deserve to have access to it.
I hope this deal comes to Japan.
And just where did you find the info that fits Mac Pro?Coming soon. Now that Intel has released CPUs worth upgrading-to.
You see, unlike most of the other guys, Apple doesn't just Upgrade to say they did it. And right now, Intel has been holding them back for almost a year.
But that is coming to an end, finally...

On another forum about a month ago.And just where did you find the info that fits Mac Pro?
Is this person reliable in terms of source wise?On another forum about a month ago.
Apple has been waiting for Intel to release a Skylake-based Xeon, because it will have enough PCI-e lanes to do TB3, which the Mac Pro needs, and it has an architecture that works for the Mac Pro's overall design.
According to that person, Intel has just announced that Xeon is going into Production soon, like this Spring; so Apple obviously has Engineering Samples of that CPU to play with.
IMHO, it is therefore a "no brainer" to use it for a Mac Pro update.
They seemed to have some pretty in-depth knowledge of the nuances of the several Xeon variants, and what they meant as far as feasiblity for the Mac Pro's architecture. Apparently, not every Xeon variant is even close to being "alike" in that regard. Is this person reliable in terms of source wise?
What do you say about AMD then? No amd for mac pro? They seemed to have some pretty in-depth knowledge of the nuances of the several Xeon variants, and what they meant as far as feasiblity for the Mac Pro's architecture. Apparently, not every Xeon variant is even close to being "alike" in that regard.
So, I'd put the rumor at a 70-80% probability.
However, this announcement seems to put the probability up to about 90-95%:
http://www.gamenguide.com/articles/...ressive-specs-features-price-more-details.htm
And this Wikipedia article about Skylake specifically mentions TB3 support, and has at least 10 references to Xeon variants:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skylake_(microarchitecture)#Features
So, I think we are edging close to 100% "believeability" at this point...![]()
Don't keep up with AMD CPUs, sorry. What do you say about AMD then? No amd for mac pro?
Ordered the bundle yesterday, licensing information and serial numbers arrived today via email. Guess I got lucky!
Got mine as well.
I just got my codes!
Got my codes! Check your emails, boys!

Hey guys, quick question
Do we have full usage rights on these programs? Can I use Final Cut Pro for personal projects outside school?
Thanks !

The only negative is I will likely never get my value worth out of Logic as I don't really need or have interest in any Music capabilities .... loaded it up anyway just in case.
Which begs the question. What if you buy this bundle but don't need one or more of the apps. I assume there are separate codes to acquire each app from the Mac App Store? If so, then under the terms of the purchase, would it be possible to give away or even sell the unused codes to another person (teacher/student)?
(I myself would find only FCPX and Compressor useful.)
No, you are not permitted to give away or sell the codes. If you do, Apple can deactivate the software and your Apple ID.
